Hi,
not that *any* of us are over-subscribed to news letters and such...
Anyway, i've been going out to this site for some time to verify
news rummours, such as the "see thru pants for women in Japan"
-- false, and "two headed turtle found by man" - true. They usually
have links to news pages and and such to show how it was or wasn't
done. Much better than wiki - er, ahm is that *really* saying much?
(my whole prob with wiki is that you never really know where they
got their facts and that the ALT-E / FIND keys don't work - you
have to use the mouse click on E, and another thing ...(large hook
ermerges stage RIGHT and drags the out-of-control drongo off stage)...
Anyway, when-ever i see some new thing posted here and there, i go
check it out. I (being the idiot technant that i am) subscribe to
their weekly newsletter) -- share and enjoy.
http://snopes.com
- Frank.
and shame-less self promotion: http://art-squeek.angelfire.com
(in progress, will be on-line
oct 26 - well it's *supposed* to be!)
