I don't care about the game, but when I saw your name, it reminded me of my favorite Clutch song.

Clutch is an utterly amazingly talented young group of men. I can't believe how good their first album is and how much they've developed and grown since. I love Spacegrass, but think I love Immortal and Drink To The Dead more. God they're good.

Jesus on the dashboard!!

I was really hoping that this would be an entirely FPS game and was looking forward to it... then I found it was third person and I was all like 'yuck', and then I saw it again and it was isometric RPG.... I have no idea what it is so I'm holding back until I see it for sure.

My wife and I are so excited we are buying her a new PC to play it. (Hers is 8 years old...it's time to put that cow out to pasture.)

Geeking out over this mainly due to a good chunk of the Diablo team working on this project

I must admit that certainly helped sell me on it early on. The story seems interesting too. Good thing they made it demons and not aliens. We might have had to have a cameo appearance by The Doctor. heh

I was totally loving the idea, and geeked out for it.

Then I played the beta. I won't say anything (there's an NDA you know) other than you should probably try the game first before purchasing. Which is good advice for any purchase really.

Are you trying to say your wife isn't brilliant and your child isn't beautiful?! I'm so telling Mrs. Satori.

I bought the game today and despite what most people said I found the demo quite enjoyable but am much more excited about the full game. I also second the buying of this product being made with help from the guys who worked on Diablo and Diablo 2. Also is anyone playing on a server and if so which one?

I downloaded and started playing the Demo last night. I really did get the Diablo feel from the game - especially the menu - which isn't a bad thing.

For a game that was promo'd to me as an MMO, this is possibly one of the worst I've ever played. I agree with, pretty much, all of the gripes that Alex and Dan had with the game. Yeah, it's only the demo, but still, it's not making me want to buy the game at all.

Also, if it is only a demo, why would the monsters drop gear which is only available to classes which you can't play? Sure, they've probably excised the demo from the full game, it's still annoying.

Pros:
The little jokes - going up against a 'Sumatran Rat Monkey' (from Dead Alive) was a nice surprise, even if your chance of spotting the monster's name is kinda low. Also, one of the destroyed buildings being named the 'Flag & Ship', subtle and nice. They didn't need to have so many posters for nVidia within the game, though.

Cons:
Emo NPC's - Engineer 101 really didn't endear himself to me when he asked me to help him 'or he would cut himself'. I know that Emo is kinda an in thing at the moment, but leave it out of my post-apocalyptic scenarios. I think we all know that when the zombies do come, the first to be sacrificed for the good of the people will be the emos.

That's my thoughts. Sure, I've only played the demo, but it doesn't make me want to play the full game at all. Currently, the best thing about the game for me are the models which Weta have put out.

I've been playing the game for a few hours now and I'd have to say that it is much much better than the demo. Is there anyone else on this forum who has purchased it and is playing?

I played the demo (didn't get the game cause something went down) and I remember when reading about this game coming out that it would have first person and third person view, then played the demo and it wasen't there.

I then watched videos from the beta and such, and it was. The demo was crap, can't wait to get the full game (hopefully I can still get the collectors edition).

I had doubts about this game but I got to really get into it this weekend and it is super awesome. Anyone wanna start a TRS guild in Shulgoth?
