Here's what I want in a superman movie.

Good FX, A Lex Luther that isn't a dirt poor land hungry wuss. Give me the super villian that he F@#king is oh and no more super offspring.

Return of Zod would be an awesome second Superman movie. I don't think I'd want SmallVilles Clark to be the movie Clark. But I don't really like Brandon Roush either.

I think Tom Welling does a good job as clark. though he plays a different clark from what we have seen in the movies. Not that it really makes a difference anyway. I've come to terms that I will never see the Superman I want on the big screen. I'll take what they give me and keep dreaming though.

I would realy like to see Supes have to fight someone that is on his level... so an "Old" Zod wouldn't really satisfy me.

I want fights in flight. I want punches of incredible magnitude crunching into impervious jawbones. I want to see Superman actually struggle to defeat someone, but not because he's all jacked up from kryptonite.

That's the inherent problem with Superman. He has only one weakness, and is otherwise unbeatable.

I like "Smallville." I like Tom Welling. I really like Allie Mack.

But, the writers have an awkward dilemma. I think this awkwardness is what contributes to the distaste that many of Superman fans have for the series. Classically, Superman was a pubic figure and Clark Kent was his secret Identity. "Smallville" sees those roles reversed. Clark Kent is the public personae and Superman is the secret identity. It's not quite right. Superman isn't supposed to be a secret. His friends aren't supposed to always get knocked out in order to skip the uncomfortable explanations.

Superman's identity as Clark Kent is the secret he must hide and that's not such a chore. It's easier for Superman to hide his ordinary side than for Clark Kent to hide his extraordinary side.


The dilemma: In order to reconcile the story line with the rest of the Superman continuum, the writers must reverse the roles back to their natural positions without using some complete Bobby Ewing bullshit.

Kryptonite is only a quick weakness for non super people to use. There's been times where he's been to the point of almost death without Kryptonite by an enemy of similar power.

lol... there's a petition on the kryptonsite.com forums for more Chloevage (Chloe cleavage) in the eppies like previous seasons. I do like me some Chloevage, I have to admit.

However, Kara, Lana and Lois are OK looking. Each a little better than the other. But all fairly normal. Kara and Lois have weird noses. Lois has real "fake" boobs.
