Hey Everyone,
If I know radlings like I think I do, you'll all be interested in checking this out!
Double Fine (Tim Schafer and Co. the people behind Psychonauts) have just released the teaser trailer for their new game, Brutal Legend. It's a collaboration with Jack Black and also features a number of rock legends. I've been a huge fan of Schafer since the great adventure games he worked on like Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle. This game is gonna be funny as hell!
Check it out!

This looks awesome. I love Tim Schafer humor. I was very happy & surprised when Psychonauts was added to the 360 compatibility list.

This game looks utterly ridiculous! I want this game now!
Hopefully this is the game for Doublefine that doesnt flounder in sales. More of a mainstream appeal cause who doesnt like to rock?

I just get the feeling that this might do better commercially than Psychonauts. Psychonauts was released pretty late in the original Xbox's life. I think the popularity of the 360 right now and also the input and commercial boost of having a name like Jack Black involved might help to lift sales.

I forked over for Psychonauts because Tim Schaffer is a bloody genius. As long as I have the system his games are released on, I will purchase them.
And while I don't usually condone Digg spamming here, it was a worthy story. So dugg.

Dude!! Brutal Legend is on the list!
I sang the praises of Psychonauts for a long time, what a weird, quirky little gem of a game.

I loved Psychonauts! It's one of those games that just from a writing standpoint is so damn original and funny. I mean seriously if you didn't laugh playing this game then I don't know what's wrong with you. Loved how each level was more or less inside the mind of a person, especially loved the Milkman level.

So the game is out now, and I find it kinda strange that no one on here is talking about it. I picked it up on Tuesday and I've been playing it ever since. I'm kinda curious where all the excitement for the game went. Too much advertising make you sick of hearing about it? Did some news during the development turn you off of the game? I can't be the only one who picked it up.
Since the game ended up sponsoring the show, we definitely won't be getting a review from the TRS team, so really our only choice is to talk amongst ourselves. I love the comedy and look of the game. The voice acting and animation is great imo. But as much as it pains me to say it, I don't have that much fun playing the RTS sections of the game. Although I think it's safe to say that I've never played a game exactly like this were you're not only telling dudes what you want them to do, but you can jump in and help them if they need it or even team up with them for cool combos.

Just came out here a couple of days ago so I only just grabbed it. The humour is great. Not so sure about the RTS stuff yet, but I haven't played much. It's great to able to have a laugh playing a game though. I do think that the marketing for this game has been way over the top. I'd seen the intro to the game about 10 times before I even got to play it.

Of the choices of games this week, I went with Uncharted.
I liked the demo of Brutal Legend, but I'm not a fan of the whole rock/metal theme to it all. I loved Psychonauts, so I kind of wish they went back to that twisted and strange world. I might pick it up in the future when it's cheaper though.

Just finished the game last night. I have to say, its a great game. I often play games for the storyline, continuing on because I want to see the story unfold. This game has a GREAT story, and was alot of fun to unfold. I will say though that I do like the Heavy Metal genera, well at least I did when I was younger. I found my myself just having a blast zooming around while listening to the Duece's radio. The humor is pretty awesome, and the created world is phenomenal. I am an old 80's dude though, so that might make a diff.
