The trailer is awesome...hope Capcom could make a game in this style (of coz not a fighting game)

The development team is Capcom USA instead of Japan...:(

There has definitely been enough time since the last SF to bring out a total re-invention of the SF wheel. Capcom has enough talent to bring something new to the table, lets just hope they actually do.

Street Fighter shaped a big chunk of my gaming life, and I'm sure many others on this board, so it deserves the benefit of the doubt.

SFII HD pushed to 2008 makes me a sad panda. :(

I'm looking forward to seeing actual game footage of Street Fighter IV, and obviously hoping it looks and plays good.

Street fighter is classic gaming and there has not been a new one for a while now, I know there has been an nth degree of iterations before but this may open the series to the new generations of gamers. I know that Street Fighter II made me a better gamer and its time the younger crowd understand "try a hadoken" because more often then not that will be a special move in any fighting game.

I cant wait to see some in game footage, it would be awesome if the trailer was in game footage now i'm sure then people would be more excited.

Well *I'm* excited anyway.

I hope the gameplay is still fundamentally 2D even though I don't expect the graphics will be.

Taken from the article at Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/06/street-fighter-iv-first-details-revealed/):
We'll spare you the suspense: Street Fighter IV will feature fully-3D graphics, but gameplay will be purely 2D, retaining the feel of the classic non-EX Street Fighter titles.

The detail (specifically on Ken) reminds me of the game SaGa Frontier II on the Playstation, where everything was basically a watercolor painting. It looks really nice!
