"Hey guys check out the left side of the screen where you can buy things we're talking about this week!"
Wow, I wonder how much you actually get from Amazon to plug that shit.... it can't be that much. < 5% of all sales clicked through from this site? I like that the show is commercial free, but I'm guessing soon enough there will even be ads at the end as well.

Supporting TRS. Check. Getting good stuff. Check. I like this kind of "advertising". It's not obtrusive and it's more effective. I probably won't use GoDaddy anytime soon so those commercials really do nothing for me and many others. This, though, applies to a wider base of people.

I agree, affiliate sales are a great way to cash in on the fandom. Go Daddy = constantly glued to my eyelobes.

I guess I don't really have a problem with the referral ads on the side... it's just the way they plugged it on the show like it was doing everyone a big favor, when in reality it was giving them a few bucks.

My sentiments exactly. It's not like the guys give rave reviews about total crap just so people might buy it via their website to give them their small percentage. I'm all for finding alternative monetization (nice word, eh?). Just as long as it keeps me watching Alex play with his hair, Dan clap his hands, and Jeff tell him to stop, then it's all good. :)

Dude, it's a business. Live with it.
The moment Alex, Jeff and Dan turn up at your house and force your hand to click on those links then you can ***** and moan all you want.

I don't really care, but I have that similar feeling of "not as beneficial as you think", when I hear the various Rev3 shows doing the Netflix plug. I love Netflix, and I want the Rev3 shows to get their bucks and get the stats from the netflix.com/revshownamehere link, but there is nothing extra special from a customer point of view, using that link.
