I was just wondering what people were going to be for Halloween. If you need any useless help, here's a little something I wrote after seeing all of these corny costume tips on the internet.

Halloween Costume Tips or: There's Cheese (Factor) In My Plastic Pumpkin Pail

by 2H

Halloween is almost upon us, and with that comes the burden of finding the perfect costume to wear. Well get ready to unburden yourself, because I've come up with ten costume ideas that are sure to please kids and adults alike.

1. Strapped for cash? Save some money and run around naked as Raiden from the "Metal Gear Solid" series. Just make sure you have someone to hold your keys.

2. Wear a suit, some glasses, and a curly afro, and you can be... you guessed it, everyone's favorite music mogul, Phil Spector! Be the envy of all your friends with this timeless classic.

3. Buy some bushy eyebrows and get the added luxury of having two costumes in one. Be Adam Carolla this year, and be a Goomba from "Super Mario Bros." the next. Double the fun!

4. The key to any good costume is commitment. That's why this next costume idea is guaranteed to turn heads: Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo! Remember, it's never too early to spread Christmas joy, or anything else that you might happen to spread.

5. Who's that on the ceiling? It's your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! No wait... it's (insert your name here). All you need is a ladder, a spandex bicycle suit, some duct tape, and a few friends. You'll be on your way to shouldering great responsibility in no time!

6. A fast car + blue paint + a clean driving record = Sonic the Hedgehog! Watch out for those spikes. Ouch!

7. Tired of dressing up as Bruce Lee every year because your mom won't buy you a new costume? Are verbal taunts like this one getting you down?

Bully: "It's awesome that you've been Bruce Lee the last five Halloweens... NOT!" (exchanges high-fives all around)

You: (run and cry)

Well fret no longer, because I have a simple solution for you:

Bully: "It's awesome that you've been Bruce Lee the last six Halloweens... NOT!" (exchanges high-fives all around)

You: "I'm not Bruce Lee this year. I'm Fei Long!"

Burn! Nice going you.

8. Tape a DVD of BloodRayne to your chest and see all the terrified faces as the kiddies run for their trick-or-treating lives. I think you just gave someone a case of the heebie-jeebies. Way to go!

9. You wouldn't happen to like potatoes and "Harry Potter" would you? You would?! Well don't be wasteful. Finish those potatoes and then use the sack to dress up as the beloved house-elf Dobby. Now reward yourself for your resourcefulness and go out trick-or-treating. And then clean my room. Solanum Tuberosum!

10. The Kool-Aid Man is always a big hit at Halloween parties. To pull off this crowd pleaser you'll need a wrecking ball and some goggles. Paint the ball red, and don't forget to add a smiley face. Now all you have to do is make your big entrance. Don't bother ringing the doorbell, just let yourself in. If you wanna go the extra mile, get yourself a bullhorn and yell "Oh ya!" a few times to really sell it. Get ready to feel the love!

With these great tips, you won't have an excuse for not dressing up this Halloween.

Reserve a place on your mantle for that best costume award.

You've earned it.

For a couple of years I have used my patented "Phillips Head" costume, where I just take a phillips head screw driver and hold it up to the side of my forehead like a horn or something. Yeah, its really stupid, but cheap, and "clever."

Used it for the couple of years that my friends and I went trick or treating when our parents said we were "too old" (like 7th-10th grade). My friend put on his Punisher skull t-shirt and his long leather coat and went as The Punisher (from the Marvel Comics). In 11th grade we just went out to see how many people would give us candy without any "costume"... All of them did!

Now if I go to a party or something I just put on my red Ninja Turtles bandanna. I'm a cheapass holloweenie.

Oh what I wouldn't give to be a Big Daddy this year...I've seen some pics on the internet, but none really do that monster justice...I can just imagine me at 6'8" walking with my son around the neighborhood scarring and scaring the others with the massive drill bit on my arm!!! Of course I really need a daughter instead of a son to dress as a little sister...Oh, well there's always cross-dressing, talk about scarring;)

This is a helpful little ninja costume making guide I made for a different forum... this seemed like a good place to re-post it. I mean, who doesn't want to dress up like a ninja?

Enjoy!

(edit: I didn't know I could only post 4 images at a time... hope y'all don't mind the upcoming multiple posts.)

Hello, my name is Hapkido-ka and today I will be walking you through an illustrated tutorial on how to make a massively sexy ninja costume out of materials found (for the most part) around your very own home.
Due to an exorbitant amount of requests, I have put this little tut together so that you, yes you, can be as cool as I am in my kick ass ninja guise.

First things first, you need to get your materials together and lay them out to make sure you aren't missing anything. Ready for the checklist?
Good!

1 Black T-shirt (possibly another to use an an undershirt)
1 Uber-cool black hapkido headband (optional)
2 pairs of black socks (1 old pair that is able to be irrevocably altered)

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/AShirt.jpg

1 black martial arts top (gi, dobok, etc.)
"But Hap, I don't have one!"
A black jacket or long sleeve shirt will do, but a dobok top is MUCH cooler.
1 black belt (a black rope will suffice as well, I used a belt tho)
1 pair of baggy black pants (I used old UFO pants from my raving days)
1 pair of century sparring gear footpads (optional)

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/Bpants.jpg

Got all that? Good, now we're ready to get ninja-fied!

Take the baggy black pants

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/Cpantalones.jpg

and put them on. (C'mon now...one leg at a time there Corky, do I really need to show you how to put on pants?)

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/DNaughty.jpg

(continued)

hapkido-ka
10-25-2007, 06:42 PM
Now get your black t-shirt ready (mine is stretchy and I think it adds to the effect, but that's a personal preference).

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/EShirt1.jpg

Place said t-shirt over your head so that you are looking through the hole for your head, like so:

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/FCowl.jpg

Now, fold the underside of the head hole under so you have a straight piece of cloth going across your nose and then tie the sleeves tightly behind your head. Try to flex and show off your tattoo (if you have muscles and/or a tattoo) as well.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/GTie.jpg

Look at yourself in the mirror. You're beginning to look like a ninja already!

Now take your black martial arts top (or black jacket/longsleeve shirt)

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/Hdobok.jpg
(continued)

hapkido-ka
10-25-2007, 06:42 PM
and put it on.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/IDobok1.jpg

Now take the pair of black socks that you won't get in trouble for cutting holes in, and put them on your hands. Spread your fingers out inside them to see where you need to cut finger and thumb holes and then make with the cutting already! But be careful, Hapkidoka does not take responsibility for any mishaps that may arise during the cutting process (use the neon colored safety scissors, Stumpy).

After cutting, put your fingers through the holes and pose.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/JGlove.jpg

Oh, yeah. We're getting close now!

Take the other pair of black socks and put them on over your black baggy pants. Play with the amount of tucking and untucking of the pant legs until you are happy with the sexiness factor.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/KSocks.jpg

Now, if you are as cool as me, then you have century sparring gear and ninja-esque footpads already.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/LFootpads.jpg
(continued)

hapkido-ka
10-25-2007, 06:43 PM
Go ahead and put them on. They add to the effect, I promise!

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/MFootpads1.jpg

Take your black belt (or rope) and put it on as well.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/NBelt.jpg

You should be pretty freakin' stealthy by now!
At this point we are moving into the optional accessory section of the tutorial.

Take your uber-cool hapkido head band, with the optional "Ninja Vanish" upgrade

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/OHeadband.jpg

and tie that bad boy around your head!

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/PHeadband1.jpg
(continued)

hapkido-ka
10-25-2007, 06:44 PM
Now, you are just about as ninja as it gets.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/QHapnin1.jpg

For those of you that say things like, "But daddy Hap, I don't have an uber-cool hapkidoka headband with optional "Ninja Vanish" upgrade! What about me? What should I do?" I have this advice for you: Use your creativity! Try out various other ornamental headwear!

Got a red sash just lying around?

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/SRedband.jpg

No? Well, why not expess your gritty, urban flava' and become a "HipHop Nin"?

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/THiphopnin.jpg

Not working for you? You say that you don't have a badass Team NV hat just lying around? Well, why not smack some hos if they don't get you that money and become "Chocolate Shadow", the pimpin' nin?

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/UPimpnin.jpg
(continued)

hapkido-ka
10-25-2007, 06:44 PM
Too busy being fellated by skeezy interns to find time to pimp any hos? Well, the obvious solution is to become "Bill Clint-nin".

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/VClintNin.jpg

Oh, you had too much fun walking on the sea of Galilee and healing lepers to ever run for president? Well, then "Messiah-nin" is your answer!

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/WJesusNin.jpg
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/XJesusNin1.jpg

Need regular doses of oil to sneak without squeaking? Then the "Tin-nin" option is for you!

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/YTinnin.jpg

Or, you could just rock the hell out and become the "Last of the Fauxhicans-nin".

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/hapkidoka/ZFauxHawkNin.jpg

Feel free to express yourself in your own unique way! As long as you assassinate fools with style, it's all gravy, baby!

That concludes my illustrated tutorial on Ninja Costume creation.

Hope you guys have a Totally Rad Halloween! :D

I was pretty proud of it. Made all the icons myself from scratch in between working on the episode :D

Nice costume mate.

But.

This is NOT Steve. Steve is an alien from the planet Q. This is why you never see him on camera. The pictures that have been floating around the internets claiming to be of Steve are actually of a paid actor that Team Awesome LLC has hired to pose as Steve in public.

Once again, the Totally Rad Show is EVIL! (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9032&highlight=true+evils)

dude those costumes rock... I love costumes, and thus as alex mentioned in the last cast, I love cosplaying. because dressing up only once or twice a year just isn't enough. ... that quail man rocked, and we could have used a wolverine for our x-men blue team...

well this year I did two costumes...

My Best friend and I dressed up as Jay and Silent Bob for Halloween this year. Considering I am a short fat guy and he is tall and skinny it worked great. Only had to grow out the beard about a month before hand and break out the shorts and over coat. We got mobbed walking through town. I even had to sign a few autographs(they knew I wasn't Kevin Smith but they didn't care lol). We couldn't even walk from one bar to another without getting mobbed and having to be photographed about 20 times lol. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures. But, I will try and talk my bro into getting the Jay costume on again for a quick snapshot.

I wasn't quite sure if I was even going to go out this Halloween. I ended up getting an invite from a friend at the last minute and still had my old costume from last year hanging around. You obviously cant see my name tag in one of them so I attached another from last years Halloween as well. Though im thinking I may get my lazy ass in gear and work on one for next year.

A few cool mentions that I saw this weekend but didn't get a picture of.
1) A guy with a grey exclamation point over his head....thats right you guessed it he was a world of warcraft quest giver. He even had a shirt on that said "you level is not high enough" and on the back "Noob"

2) The girl next to him was a trainer, I think a Paladin trainer....um I can't remember her name.

Hope everyone had a good Halloween

**EDIT NOTE** It just hit i didn't mention what I was for Halloween. Its the infamous Dr. Tiki.

I am not a big fan. Scratch that I am a big fan, just didn't play it that much. My fault and problem. But anyway, this is kick ass. I wish I could plan that well that fast. Totally Rad indeed.

I've seen an ungodly amount of quailmans this year

Yeah, well...maybe I didn't see ENOUGH Scary Spices. So there. (I don't even know what that means)

Mega Man FTW. Nice job, man.

A bit late, I know, but I literally got the cable for my camera back from my friend about 10 minutes ago.

Here's a picture of me with some random people at a bar.

I'm Indiana Jones. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of my costume in proper lighting.

Wow you guys all had amazing costumes. I'm at UCSB and Halloween here lasts a weekend + the actual day of Halloween so I had a few different costumes.

This is my friend Chris and I being "danger personified".

And then I was a panda.

I also had a stereotypical "sexy" bee costume and a baseball player costume but I don't have pictures of those.
