It has Martin Sargent and that man could defecate into an orange juice box and force little kids to drink it and I would love it still. The more Martin the better, I love Web Drifter.

Make it longer, do a more extensive (yet, still funny) interview with the man behind the site, and you got yourself a 30-60min show:).

Please keep this show going. It was really funny and everyone I showed it to liked it as well. This could be a great show for Rev3 if frequent episodes are released.

I love it, and I agree, Infected is Web Drifter+Infected..hopefully Infected won't be gone, maybe a mixture of both. After 30 minutes of Infected it switches to Web Drifter. I love the opening, reminds me of myself during the 90's and before I was married. Oh he** it describes basically any techie.

Never got a chance to watch Unscrewed, but I like infected (The Christmas story was the best). Webdrifter is simply amazing. Make it about a half hour and a regular feature and you will have plenty of subscribers. Keep it up Martin and company.

10-01-2006, 05:43 AM
This show freakin' rocks. it's more fun than infected. but, does anyone know where martin is shooting from at the end of the episode? or does he have a cool studio with a desk in his garage or something.

There's no better way to explore the dark, filthy corners of the internets (a.k.a. the series of tubes) than this. Great job Martin & crew. Keep it up.

I'll just put it like this:

If for some reason I could only watch one Rev3 show and if Episode 1 was any indication of the quality of this series, this would be the one show I'd watch.

...if two shows, this and Diggnation....but this is definately a great show. Can't wait for the next episode.

So, what sites would you like me to go behind, to learn from the geniuses who created them? And please send the link for our show to everyone you know, this is important stuff. Plus, we need to get Revision3 to give us a big budget.

Don't Get Ripped,

Just registered to say I think Web Drifter is the best of all the Revision3 shows and I hope you keep it going. It feels a lot like an entertaining segment on a network TV channel and I think it's bound to suit a larger audience than the other very techy Rev3 shows (if it gets the right promotion).

One thing I'd say though, is that you need to de-interlace the video before you compress and put it out - on the large Quicktime version the combing effect is quite noticeable.

Otherwise, keep it up - ep1 was very funny.

Alright...
If Revision3 does anything to secure it's future, It's GOTTA keep this show! Web Drifter touched on the fringes of what TechTV had with unscrewed!

This show was absolutely fantastic!

Do NOT let Martin get away from you guys! And heck, bring back Laura for an episode or three!!

Web Drifter is now my favorite Revision3 show! I'm looking forward to the episodes to come, especially when they interview the yellowbamboo.com guys--I've always wondered what the heck that was.

By the way, I started a Web Drifter facebook fan site for all those interested. It can be found here: http://bsu.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2211737727

Hey Troopers! Thanks for all the sweet things you've been saying about Web Drifter. We've got two more episodes "in the can," as we in Hollywood say. Will be released when the puppet masters at Revision3 (Prager) see fit. And then? We'll start web drifting again? But where should we go? What sites would you like me to go behind?

Let us know. AND KEEP WATCHING INFECTED, TOO!

Don't get ripped, by the riptide...

Dude, Martin, its awesome that you post here. You should more often. You have a lot of fans here that have been with you since TechTV!

As far as sites go, are you looking for just weird sites like the ones you mentioned in ep 1 (that dude who thinks he's peter pan, etc) ?

I miss those crazy websites segmants on TSS...

Why don't you try one of those Flat earth society sites get ahold of them..they believe the earth is flat and Nasa lies to us about the images from space..and go to far you fall off the edge and all that crazy bullshit:p ..I used to have links to a few but they changed urls so have to google them.

That was an excellent and entertaining segment. It reminded me of Daily Show segments, but without the need for creative editing. It seems like Martin can hunt down the freaks of the internet and pull them into his comedic world.

Well, it wouldn't necessarily hurt to revisit some of the sites that you did for Unscrewed, like the Peter Pan/Pixie Guy, Maddox, and that Kansas redneck who thinks he's the rightful Pope.

Very cool! This is american comedy at its best. I hope your next show involves feces.. I hope you have the time and the ressources to make this show several times a week. I will add the DivX HD feed to my Democracy Player, thanks for making this.

And I think it's better spending the time on this than the picture show.

Definitely love the idea behind web drifter. There are a shit-ton of places to go and people to interview. The people behind Encyclopedia Dramatica (http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Main_Page), for instance. Also, it would be great if the show could be longer. That's mainly my enjoyment of the show talking, but still. There are so many questions that can be asked.
