Ah,
I have a few utilities that are less known that people may be interested in.
1) StumbleUpon: StumbleUpon is a plug-in for Firefox. With SU you pick your interests from an extensive list. (Mine include sports, baseball, computers, networking, conspiracies, etc.) The lists are very indepth and comprehensive. A small icon that says "Stumble!" will appear in Firefox. All you do is click this button, and it brings you to a random website that has been filed under one of your interests. Seems completely lame, I know, but its atticting and fun.

2) Object Dock: Many of you might know this application that imitates the dock in Mac OS. Farely self-explanatory.

3) O & O Defrag: Farely self explanatory as well, just a high quality defrag program.

4) Microsoft OneNote 2007 Beta: A very expansive program used for notetaking. As a college student I find that this program comes in very handy.

VideoLAN - VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/)
No additional codecs needed, and its media streaming has been unbelievably useful to me for a range of uses.

mmm... Norton Ghost, as well.
Here is a digg link for ya (http://digg.com/security/20_Reasons_The_World_despises_Norton_Anti_Virus) ;)
I like System Internals Process Explorer (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html)quite a bit.
I also am a big fan of Disk Keeper (http://www.diskeeper.com/defrag.asp), a great defragmenting program.
And, of course, AdAware by Lavasoft (www.lavasoft.de/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php) and Spybot Search & Destroy (http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10122137.html)
There are others, but i'm off to bed

Norton Ghost is thousands of times better then Norton Antivirus is. Just like Symantec Partitionmagic is still worth using.
My top programs? Windows - Firefox 2, OS X - Adium.

Not wanting to start a holy war, but most MacOS, Windows, and Linux users couldn't really care less about what people are using on the other side of the street.
You might want to repost this thread in each of the respective technology forums ... where others that are interested in each platform might follow along as well.
Not going to shut the thread down ... just trying to encourage you to move along :)
