Rev3 should pick up BattleBots, not the crappy British one that was on TechTV and G4..
I'm talking about the American robot fighting show.. the one that was on Comedy Central for like 5 years, the one that kicked ass!

They do the show in San Francisco, and they are looking for a new network to host it since Comedy Central canceled it. It says on Wikipedia that Comedy Central canceled the show due to declined ratings... but we all know the ratings declined NOT because it was a bad show - but because it was a technology/robot/geek show on a Comedy network.. and that would have never worked!

Thats like putting sports shows or NBA, NFL, and MLB games on a womans network.. People watch Comedy Central to laugh.. and fighting robots aren't funny.. they are what they are, fighting robots.. entertaining and fun to watch but definitely not funny

BattleBots on Comedy Central was targeting the wrong audience or target market or whatever you want to call it

check it out:
"...Due to continued declining ratings...Comedy Central terminated their
contract with BattleBots Inc. in late 2002, and
BattleBots Inc. is currently seeking another television partner..."

I think the problem with that is that you need a lot more than just a few guys and a camera.

You need multiple cameras, arenas, hosts + reporter type people (I guess), and it just feels like that may require too much.

But i really dont know much about how revision3 sets up their budgets and stuff so maybe this is completely doablr. or maybe im overestimating the budget for the show. If its possible thats something i would watch.

Um it was a fad shows anyway..no new ones are being made anywhere really and the UK one was called "Robot Wars"...and the show was canned in the UK..as most fads go the interest declined.

Just will have to settle on re-runs where you can find them.
Also as mentioed for something like that you need a HUGE budget and studio.

God I hated that show. The robots were so clunky and annoying, even though thats what robots are, it pissed me off!!@##%R@$%@@#F@#F ****IGN $!#OI%ROBOTS!@!QE#$

Sorry I'm a recovering robot fighting gambler. I use to have a job as a successful business owner, 3 kids(2 girls and one boy), a beatiful wife with blonde hair, legs to die for, an ass that was nice and firm, lips that fit so perfectly over my snozzle, and boobs that were so tender right in the cup of my hand. But then I was intoduced into the sport of back alley robot fighting, and I couldn't get enough. I sold my house, drove my company into bankruptcy right after withholding pay checks and stealing money from all my employees, then sold my kids to a malaysian sweat shop and my wife to a sadistic, neurotic coke dealer. I still couldn't get enough. The idiotic monotony of watching to pieces of metal with wheels hitting eachother with sledgehammers was an obsession that just couldn't be satisfied. I finally got over it after thinking my life over in a hospital bed after trying to cut out my liver for a cuban organ dealer for a quick buck. I've been through alot. My psychiatrist has told me that I need to stay away from everything to do with robots and fighting if I'm to recover from this mental trauma. So, please. I beg of you. Don't mention Robot fighting as a new show for rev3 to pick up. The stupidity can not be overcome and I can't lose it again. All thats keeping me alive is my sweet, loveable cat, patches. If I see robot fighting on rev3 I will probably chop his legs off with barb-wire, stick them down his throat, and slowly cooking him over a slow fire until he is tender enough to stick up my anus and sit to rot into my body.

Please
