What video game scores can you guys listen to all the time? And star wars games don't really count...because it's the music from the movies. anyway...for me it's the score from Black, the guy who does this(can't find his name, but if you can let me know) is like the new john williams. His scores i could listen to everyday...what about you guys?

thought this was for us to brag about our video gaming skillz, like the time I beat Contra without the cheat and without dying.
have to say best musical score goes to Contra. best intro, best stage music, never gets tired even after playing it 12 hrs straight trying to beat it without the code and without dying.

The great thing about all the 8-bit scores was that because they had such little to work with, they had to be REALLY creative to do anything cool. And that's why when a real band, or orchestra, plays that music, it kicks all kinds of ass.
Personally, I'll throw in all the Nintendo epics (mario, zelda, tetris) and Megaman 2. Also, the Nintendo Final Fantasy games still kicked ass.

Oh man that is too broad for me to just name a few..it's pretty much the only music I listen too...
Nintendo games sega games Square games and almost any series even if I have not played it but love the music I listen to from rock of Sonic adventure or great music of Final Fantasy or other RPGs to the simple but great tunes of Nintendo except for the moody but great Metroid games...like I said pretty much any game I will listen almost but one that is to me the most gorgeous music in gaming and sad they never did any other game there is one that stands above the rest for me...Shenmue's HAUNTING music..it's so beautiful and truly epic and just pure genius and haunts you.
scroll down to the shenmue albums download them and listen.
there is a bit to download if interested i warn you.

I am pretty biased since Shenmue is my fave game ever haha

I agree on the music--even though I loathed the game. (which is weird because I love to go looking for sailors in real life)

Why do people bring that up? it was one small part in the game...like 5 minutes game time..it's a dead horse getting beaten. -_-
Sorry just most Shenmue fans think it's stupid how people focus so much on one small part that meant almost nothing.
EDIT I noticed you also live in Utah..haha sweet..though to be honest I am not to fond of the LDS religion /off topic..lived in Utah all my life and hate it :p

Jet Set Radio, not quite a score but good collection of music that really got the tone of the game. The new Super Smash Bros theme.

Mega Man X has a cool soundtrack.
Final Fantasy game soundtracks are OK.
Mostly I like instrumental/orchestrated versions of video game songs, with a few exceptions.

I'm a big fan of the Super Mario 64 soundtrack, it's one of the few game soundtracks I actually listen to on a regular basis. Dirving to the flying cap music with a bunch of people in the car has proven to be more fun than it should be.

- Mario/Zelda

I could get a pretty high score for Turtles in Time.
Wait thats not what this is about?
Alot of you guys are making the same mistake as confusing a soundtrack with a score. Guitar Hero and Grand Theft Auto dont have scores, they have soundtracks.
