Great Ep as always.
Welcome back Pat
Yay! Patrick's back! Loved the show--it was jam-packed! I enjoyed Jim's cell phone review--the Samsung Juke looks interesting! I loved the outtakes at the end--keep those coming! Have a great weekend, everybody! :)

Best ep yet IMHO. I like Sarah Lane but Patrick is a better host...

Yeah I get hearing random beeps and stuff. They are filming this in a corner of there office remember.
I had to skip through the body works thing. That was to gross for me.
Also good to see Pat back. Good to hear baby and mother are well.

Thanks for the heads up about www.headphones.com guys and gals. Oddly enough my in ear headphones broke tonight while at work. Thanks to your segment I went to their site and found the Etymotic ER-6i Black. They had a high rating, a fair price, and they are noise isolating. Everything I was wanting, and thanks to Tekzilla I found them in less than half an hour!

I thought this was one of the best episodes yet.
Great job guys! ;)

Jessica laughed, but I love my Etymotic ER-4s. Patrick hit the nail on the head, the sound isolation is amazing; you can hear nothing but your tunes. I'm not sold on the idea of headphone amplifiers, but ear canal headphones rock. If you haven't tried this type of headphone, do your self a favor and give them a test drive. They are more expensive, however I found them to be worth the $$$.
P.S. That human anatomy exhibit was amazing.

Need to borrow my SoundBlaster Pro card? It's filled with 8-bit goodness. :)

Nice to see "Nawton" back. Ok chicks are hot but as a tech geek looking for tech geek stuff, Patty Norton fits the bill. On a non-porn site anyway.
This ep seemed so much like what I so miss from TV. That is why I think Rev3 has a bigger chance to beat TV than Hulu has to beat YouTube.
This episode was so good, I did even learn something about myself. While watching the "BodyWorks" segment, I was eating dinner. Lamb chops and Risotto. Best thing was the texture of the whole grain mustard on the side. Too tasty to be normal for the accompanying video. But, it worked! Made it myself too. I learned if I can eat through that, I can eat through anything.
Good episode though. Like I said it is becoming what we all liked about you folk on TV. Tekzilla makes TV worth NOT watching.

So who's the Rammstein fan in the editing room?

Patrick, congrats on the baby - I hope you and baby will have many years of fun together! :D
Now for feedback - I think you could have left out the body thing and the comic thing. They really should have gone in another podcast designed at another audience. Please don't go down that path!
Oh, and Patrick, dl.tv will never be the same without you!!!

I agree about the body/comic thing. Although I was very glad to hear that Buffy Season 8 is epic, I don't think it fits the 'zilla.

Great segment. I have seen so many horrible videos on the net, it's great to become aware of a website like TED.com. On my first visist there I watched 5 videos, two of them recommended by Jessica. For me this has been the best segment on Tekzilla to date and will ensure I continue to watch future episodes.

I was completely surprised when Patrick showed off the package of Energizer lithiums. I actually work in the only Energizer plant that packages those, I have even done that several times (I've actually gotten piles of them for free). They are lovely fun when they explode! If Revision3 needs any for free, feel free to send me a PM!

Great Episode and great to see Patrick back. Loved the cell phone segment... seems that touch screens are becoming popular....hmmm....how did that happen...</sarcasm>

Based on Patrick's recos way back as far at TSS, I bought a pair of Grado SR60's. These were to replace a couple of Sennheiser headphones that I've had. These $70 headphones are WAY better then the Sennheisers that I spent a couple hundred on.
Good to have you back Patrick, and even though I'm a very late comer to the game, I really like the new DKM album.

Now I'm curious, can you clarify "better". I thought the high end Sennheiser's were the holy grail of headphones.

They have a bit of a warmer feel. On top of that, the sound difference is like sitting in the first few rows, rather than the last, in the nose bleed section

Did you use a headphone amp with the Sennheisers? A buddy of mine uses a $800 headphone amp with his. (Yes, he's one of those crazy audio guys) But I also think those ridiculously expensive headphones are all meant to be used with a separate headphone amp.
P.S. I tried a "portable" headphone amp once, but didn't think it made a meaningful difference, so I sent it back.

No, I've never used a headphone amp.

I found a pair of 20.00 headphones a few months ago and I love them. They are the skullcandy earbuds. The company started making their products for snowboarders and mountain bikers so even the $20 products reduce the outside noise.
