Get well soon, Josh!
I took a stab at the trivia question. If it's the book I think it is, it's really unusual and I think I own it. I could be wrong though.
I had no idea Gaiman scripted this Beowulf film. I hope it turns out better than MirrorMask.

OK, haven't listened to the show yet, but this is really eerie to me, since we had that other thread that devolved into jokes about Josh's colon, and eventually ended up with an "appendix subplot" joke.
weeeeird.
Hope you feel better soon, Josh!
nice show guys
15 seconds is the way to go on the bell

Wee you and Ron there for his surgery?
I went to the hospital for a friend's surgery and when he came to his docter gave him the news that he had crohns and my friend tried to punch him (he was waaaay doped up and doesn't remember)

No, Ron's in California and I was at work when he went in, but I was on the phone with both him and his wife leading up to it and then after.

It seemed to go fine, they actually do a good portion of their episodes over skype (I believe) even when they all lived in New York

For the first year of the show Josh lived in Los Angeles, so it's something we're used to.

Now...how are you guys gonna handle the video show?
CGI? A static photo of Ron with "live via phone" written across the bottom?
I vote for the "24" style split screen editing...

Or, you know, to get chicks. So far we've summoned the powers of Jamie McKelvie, Brian Bendis, and Kieron Gillen, not to mention having Josh's evil appendix removed. I'd say we've harnessed these powers fairly well recently.

I will be interested to see if you guys stick by the decision to get rid of Josh's appendix. While it opens up many story avenues, I can't help but be cynical and think that it will be back in six months.
Perhaps a multiverse would be appropriate for a situation like this.

Appendix Prime isn't even an appendix at all. Just a glorified kidney.
When it ruptured, it broke Josh's 4th wall. Have you ever looked at an appendix face-to-face? Sinister.

11-07-2007, 04:50 PM
See, now I personally don't think it was Josh's appendix at all.
I think it was just a very small Skrull.

What you guys don't know is that I planned out this appendix thing from the start. I knew from the time I was setting up the site back in 2000 that this would happen, and we don't intend to make light of it either and bring the appendix back for no reason. No, this is a real life changing story, er, event, er, surgery.
Either way, iFanboy is going to remain 2/3 light on appendix for the forseeable future.
The thing that sucks is that I've been forced to wear a banner on my clothes for the next 8 months that reads "APPENDIX SAGA," which is getting old. Even worse, Ron and Conor are wearing them too, and the whole appendix thing didn't even take place in their books, er, lives.
Now THAT's comedy. uhh you too Katers.
In fact comedy Kudos ALL AROUND!!!!
Maybe expensive silk scarves for everyone next time.

I heard that you guys only made Ron wear the banner because his sales--er, popularity -- was lagging a little. Any truth to that?
I kid, I kid!:D

A child that was born in the hospital during the surgery also had the banner placed on his body...hopefully leading a healthy launch of his new life.

OMG i was so stoked when you guys read my email on the podcast.
So here's a follow up of Chris from StLouis
I took Ron's advice and picked up Hellboy TPB 3 (i already own 1&2) and Flash:Fastest Man Alive book 1. Hellboy i enjoyed and interested me and unfortunately Flash was good but did not keep my interest plus i already know the end thanks to countdown. So if Bats, Supes, or Flash gets a good jumping on point mention it so i can try again. Thanks Fanboys
