I remeber debating to watch the funnel fish or not when I saw Dan & Jon's reaction clip... I eventually man'ed up and sat through it... But I gotta agree with Vijay on the clip, it was way overhyped (well maybe if I watched it asap, the impact would have meant more...)

What are you guys, in gradeschool? How can you have spent the last decade or two on the internet and not come across countless videos of girls shoving eels or fish or octopuss tenticles in themselves or whipping out straws and milk and drinking from each other's asses? The funnel fish video may be harder to come by, but it is in no way a singular anomolie in the freakishness out there.
Since when is it a given that whenever getting porn you look for the freakiest s*** out there.

I can give anyone who is still a teenager a pass, perhaps. But seriously -- any adult who didn't just jump on the net today would have come across such things invariably. It's the nature of the internet. As long as you have at least two friends or coworkers, it will wind up burning your eyes and soul away. That's what misleading links are for. And then you have the pleasure of passing the pain on to someone else by slipping the link to them without an honest description of the impending horror they're about to endure.
Any of you that have watched the funnel fish video know what I'm talking about. There is no way you watched it without later convincing several other people to do so -- the whole time deviously cackling on the inside.
Why would you come across this stuff looking for porn? You come across it as I explained above -- sadistic coworkers and friends -- or you intentionally seek it out, trying to find gross stuff to one-up everyone that has grossed you out with their own freakishness before.
For example, I derive great joy knowing that many of you will not be able to get the oogeyness of the medical condition known as "hairy tongue" out of your mind for days, after you see this:

Are you one of those people who (like me) have nightmares where your mouth is full of hair? That seems to be a common thing. It has been the topic of the Rick Emerson Show I listen to for about three days now (not in a medical way -- just in an "OH MY GOD IT HURTS MY EYES!" way).
I have heard some people say it is actually a type of fungus or bacteria that you can get and that what appears on the tongue is really just the "tip of the iceberg". *shudder*. You can supposedly become afflicted with it if you are having other medical problems or are being treated for certain medical problems -- so I don't think it's entirely rare.
The first time I saw it, I thought it was a joke and there was going to be some caption about muff diving or munching carpet. Sadly, no.
Would it take your mind off the photo if I mentioned that there are some women who are born without nipples on their boobs? They have the breasts.. and all is normal.. but they have no nipples. They're just like... a plastic barbie. How trippy would that be?
