So my favorite TV show of all time Twin Peaks is FINALLY out on DVD in a complete series package. The DVD release of this show has been in something of a rights cluster**** for years, and it's only now that the entire series is being released in proper fashion. 6 Years ago, there was a great DVD set of season one, minus the awesome David Lynch directed pilot movie, which had never been available in the US ( except for a crappy Hong Kong import ) and season two did not come out till this year. A week ago it finally came out in a comprehensive box set. Anyways, I have spent the past week re-visiting the show I loved so much, And for those of you who have never seen it, buy this set now, or at the very least rent them. Long before Sopranos or Six Feet Under or similar shows, Twin Peaks was doing feature film quality on television at a time when things like this were never done. There are only 30 episodes of the show, and I have to admit, only the first 18 or so are brilliant, but anyone who likes offbeat tv should do themselves a favor.
And for anyone who comments on this thread...in case there are newbies to the show who have never seen it and might give it a watch....don't ruin it by spilling the beans about a who killed a certain homecoming queen.

I've had dinner a few times with Cheryl Lee, she was kind of in the family for a while. God I wish it had been Sherilyn Fenn... well maybe not, because then I would have wanted my in-laws wife. Speaking of Sherilyn Fenn, has anyone seen a movie called Just Write ?? Stars Jeremy Piven and Costas Mandylor as well. I drink with Costas Mandylor every weekend. I sold dvd's to Jeremy Piven, but I'd much rather meet Sherilyn Fenn.

I don't have many girls that make me docile and dreamy, but DAMN she does it for me.

I would really love to hear what Jeff, Alex and Dan think about Twin Peaks.
I've only recently been watching it, since it's available to watch for free at cbs.com .
Not quite finished yet. However, unless it dives real hard at the end of the series, it's going to take the crown as my new favorite show of all time. I plan on buying that box set very soon.

Twin Peaks is one of my favorite shows of all time, but I'm a pretty freakin' huge David Lynch fan. The show looses a little steam around the middle of season 2 where CBS made them resolve the "Who killed Laura Palmer?" plotline, but it picks back up by the end of the season with Windham Earl and the Black Lodge.
Originally Fire Walk With Me was going to resolve the end of season 2. It kills me that I'll never get to see that play out.

I f'n love twin peaks.
I downloaded a 13 gig file about a month ago that has season 1, season 2, and fire walk with me... AS WELL as the scripts, soundtracks, sound clips for dale's notations, the diary of laura palmer in pdf form, and a few other things.
I love David Lynch, I just bought blue velvet on DVD... I also have the set of trading cards 72 of them I think that they put out when the series originally aired. :D
I need to buy the box set.

The box set is pretty great. I wish it still had the commentaries from the season 1 set, but that is a minor complaint.
I still have my copy of Laura Palmer's diary. I never did manage to read the whole thing. It wasn't very good, at least that's what 14-year-old-me thought back then.
I always wanted to buy a copy of Agent Cooper's audio recordings he made for Diane.
Somewhere I have a couple of issues of Wrapped In Plastic, but I haven't seen them in over a decade.
