what does the hack do, aside from showing some 1up mushrooms??

I can add a wide variety of useful apps...toggle between homepages...set new themes....that was a fan menu....sort of like stacks on leopard that you scroll through. The 1up mushroom is an nes emulator. It works great.

So it's like a hacked Iphone without the phone (needed to add that swipe). Kinda cool but not a big fan of Apple or their products. Hacked Iphones/Touch are cool but then you have to deal with Apple's ****otry and bricking. Pass. I'll just get a Clix 2 thank you.

It's called an IPOD TOUCH. Where on your device or on Apple's website does it say ITOUCH? It's so annoying when people call it that, especially IPOD USERS THEMSELVES.

Oh, and every jailbreaked iPod owner can do what you did. It's not really that special. I have Dock, and I could install any of those apps if I wanted to.

Plus, Smooth is a much cooler theme than that.

I don't think there was any reason for a reaction like that royall. I'm a Beta tester for Apple myself, and personally know a few employees themselves that call it the iTouch for slang...so before you start getting all high and mighty, you need to assess the situation. Now I don't feel like digging through these forums, but almost 80% sure that you don't even use an Apple Computer? And read the forum rules a few more times.

EDIT: Oh ya.

I'm sorry man. I forgot how you know every detail of my computer skills (you know, that just because I don't own an Apple computer means I can't have an opinion on their other products). I'm also sorry that I forgot how my inability to do a difficult task about a month ago determines the validity of my opinion. It's obvious that just because I can't get IRC to work without jailbreaking, everything I say is wrong. Just for your benefit, I'll explain my reaction so you can undersand. "iTouch" is a misnomer. Misnomers annoy me. I probably have OCD or something. Also, as I said before, you don't need to make a big deal about a single jailbreak. Plenty of people have done it. You could have started a useful thread on iPod/Phone apps, instead of showing yours off. Admittedly, I only got worked up over the word "iTouch" because it annoys me so much.

I didn't call myself a master architect of everything technological...I was just happy that I finally hacked the thing without breaking it...I've already broken one....and just for you information...you are the only one complaining and embarassing yourself. You started the "im better than you" attitude in this thread. And this is the web. In the web, web lingo is used. Lingo like ftw, lol, and rofl. It is shortening a phrase so it can be typed faster. I assume that all of Rev3 (yet another one) know what an iPod Touch is. I really didn't believe it was necessary to be elementary. I hold a high opinion of our forum users, so, given that iTouch is the accepted slang, and the fact everyone knows what it is, I didn't see any problem with it. I'm not angry towards you, but remember, you shouldn't cast the first stone.
