Battalion wars 2

Hey guys, I have just started playing battalion wars 2 (wii). IT IS GREAT!!! The online play works very well, and I have been playing co-op and skirmish's with people online. Anyone here wanna exchange friend codes and play some co-op, or maybe we could start a TRS BWii tournament if there are enough people interested?

How is it? Never played the first one but it seems interesting. Still not sure what the game is about since it defies genres.

Its a real time strategy game, but you act as one of the units. So you may have 2 tanks and some rocket launcher guys, but you are controlling one of the tanks or rocket launcher guy. You use the wiimote/nunchuck to target things and make commands to your different groups, and also to shoot and run around. You can view in a close up 3rd person view, or a much higher overhead view.

Online play is great, i have never waited for more than 20 seconds to connect to a game, and you dont NEED friend codes to play against or with somebody.

The only major drawback to the game I can see is the very short campaign mode (single player).

Well, you never need FCs/Wiinumbers to play it just allows special access with friends you've registered.

That's where it gets me though, an RTS with some FPSish and a splash of Adventure. I'll check it out. If I like it I'll get it.

BWII is a must buy for me. Didn't play the original, but the graphics alone are driving me to pick this up, it just looks great fun!

I rented the first one and I liked it. I always meant to buy it, but never got around to doing so. I just got Bwii today from gamefly, I'll put in my 2 cents after some game time.

I put a couple of hours in. Battalion Wars has always been a peculiar game. It blends RTS with action. So you're not only telling your forces where to go, but can control any of them as well. This is good for me since I'm not really a fan of the RTS genre. I think if you are a fan of the RTS genre, you'll like BWii more than I do. I'm planning on putting more time in, and see how the game unfolds.

gojira, the game is very short FYI. Do yourself a favor and get online in some co-op. I think that is where BWii really shines.
