I Recently heard on another podcast two prognosticators anticipating the sales effect of a new creative team taking over All-Star Batman. Same with All-Star Superman. Their postulation was that you wouldhave to get a bigger named creative team to keep sales up. I would disagree. Get us a god story and an on time artist. Also If Morrison and Quitely leave Superman, I'm out too. That books as close to perfect as it gets.

So I have 3 questions for everyone.

1. When Miller/Lee wrap up their run on the title what creative team would you like to see take over?

2. What would be your dream All -Star comic? (I know the Hughes Wonder Woman is supposedly on the way)

3. Who would you have as the team on that book?

My answers to the above are Brian K. Vaughan (wrote Fetective in the past) and Maleev on Pencils would be great for All - Star Batman.

I also want to see an All-Star Martian Manhunter written by Mckeevar and drawn by Guy Davis.

Good story and on time art isn't nearly enough. There are hundreds of other books out there with better stories, and plenty of on time art, and AS Batman will outsell them if it comes out once a decade.

That was maybe too negative.

First, welcome back......... I thought the appendix thing might have turned into a josh reboot story.

Second, Arguably Issue by Issue you are right. Where that logic fails is that as the Mayo Report shows, On Time the book would be at issue # 22 by now and would have sold conervitivly a million mor units. If you get a dedicated comic writer and artist on the book your going to blow away sales numbers because you just going to get more out. It is inevitable that a change of gaurd would happen. I honestly think a vaughan/Maleev or even Rucka/Maleev All- Star Batman coming out 6 times a year will sell more issues in total than a Miller/Jim Lee book out only 2 to three times a year. Because as many people who would drop it because miller and lee are gone would go back to the title for a better story and on time art.

Now that you mention it people always say that they never make anything count in comics. Babs has been in that wheelchair for a hell of a long time. They could have easilly gone for cheap sales and had her make a full recovery. Its been almost a decade hasn't it?

I like her in the chair and it definitely added depth... But I wanna see like a... Batgirl: Year One ongoing... I loved that book... I miss her as Batgirl. They shouldn't retcon it... But like.. Ultimate Batgirl. I'd love that...

Try 19!

Wow.

I guess that's why the special hardcover is coming out in 2008.

I want Paul Dini to do a Harley graphic novel. Not necessarily an All-Star book, just a book to herself.
