I posted about 15 older DVDs I didn't want on Barterbee.com and within the hour someone had purchased 4 of them, giving me enough points to get the video games I wanted.
Man, me and Jean Claude are going to be playing these games for a month! If you guys haven't signed up yet or posted some of your used stuff you are crazy! Really. www.barterbee.com/geekdrome

everytime I read about this I think "barterbee.ca" but I feel the business model wouldn't justify it... looking forward to the day it does.

I got my free cds and then didn't bother with it anymore. Mainly because all the DVDs and CDs I bought, I like too much to give away. Otherwise, no reason NOT to sign up, right?
I love it. It's been so good to me I've even been pimping it in the IRC channel. heh. (satori, and a few others, can probably attest to this.)
I've offloaded a bunch of old PS2 and PSP games that I don't play anymore and I got way more value than I would if I had sold em to a used game store. So far, I've gotten several Zombie and Bond movies.
Shortly, I will have about 150pts. (In total, I've made about 260pts, I think.) And I haven't even listed any PC games.
Incidentally, there's a whole slew of Van Damme movies (http://www.barterbee.com/xdvds0002/?ctid=1026260)... including only Universal Soldier: The Return (http://www.barterbee.com/xdvds0000/?aid=109137401&_ty=exch) for only 6 pts.

I was pumped when i found out i could get Onimusha for the free nine points or whatever. I was skeptical, eh, sponsor, probably decent but you know. But damn Barterbee is cheap and easy. I plan on getting all sorts of stuff from them in the near future.

I'm totally addicted to this site! I got a copy of WWE: Day of Reckoning 2 so I can play as my brother and NBA Street 2 so I can play as Stockton and I'm getting some CDs to fill out my collection. It's so rad!!! I'm totally pumped! Thanks Van Damme!!!!
Okay, as for posting your products:
From the home page, on the left is a column titled Bee Involved and in it click on List my Items. Click on whatever you want to add: movie, game or CD. Then enter the barcode from the back or find it yourself by entering the title or keywords to find it. I've had to do this once when the barcode wasn't found and it worked and the thing sold.
I love this damn site. And it will kill me. But I'm glad I'm thinning out old crap DVDs for games!

How many points are you supposed to get when you sign up through Geekdrome? I just signed up and only got 9pts. Isn't it supposed to be 10 plus the extra Geekdrome 5?
I mean I can understand if I got 10 points, but 9? That's just weird.
