I was just thinking about this--here is a game I so want to come back, it hurts. I've been dreaming at least a Virtual Console release, if not a new game. It's owned by RARE though, so maybe not...

Blast Corps for the N64. One of the all time greatest games ever.

i think of it as the Metroid 64 that never was, great new graphics, oldschool gameplay that never needed the change :(

i may get flamed for saying this but here goes. i would like to see the two Advent Rising sequels. I know the game didn't sell well and the reviews were terrible. but i really loved this game and played it a lot when it came out.

A month ago I would have said Bionic Commando and Street Fighter, but look what happened there.
Couple of great ones already mentioned. Thief and TIE-Fighter.
I'd love to see a new Deus Ex or Ultima game.
Only thing is, I'd only want to see games like Thief and Deus Ex and Ultima if they were back in the hands of the people who made the originals. All three of those series kinda went out on downnotes.
Thief: Deadly Shadows was still good, but it was a step back in terms of gameplay even while it was a step up in graphics. Deus Ex: Invisible War was no where near as good as the original. And the Ultima series went out in a blinding explosion of suck.
All three of these could be blamed on loss of control of the product by the original creators.

pilot wings is supposed to be in the works. Jet Set Radio - yes, there needs to be a follow up. Killer instinct? I bet whoever made it would create something terribly lame.
I thought of an obvious one just now, Earthbound (been playing it on my DS's snes emulator)

I'm totally with wideawakewesley and mltvcocktail with Syndicate and Freedom Fighters sequels - I agree that Freedom Fighters was an under-rated game.
Another under-rated game for me was Project Eden! Flippin LOVED that game.
I would like to see eather a Turrican sequel or a re-vamped Turrican II
...oh and a decent Tenchu!

G.I. Joe is a game that needs to come back!!!
There was a very old version years back on the NES and it was ok I guess but not worth remaking. What someone needs to do is to set up a game like "Company of Heroes" or "Ultimate Marvel Alliance" with a G.I. Joe theme. I personally think on the PC/Mac with a good top down view like Company of Heroes would be perfect for a G.I. Joe game.
Just imagine being able to set teams up with Duke, Flint, Snake-Eys, Lady Jaye, Scarlett, Road-Block, Low-Light etc to tackle missions against cobra. You could have endless blue badguys to fight or the B.A.T. robots, or Iron Grenediers, or Crimson Guardsmen on each level with awesome boss fights at the end of each level.
Major Bludd for level 1
The Dreadnoks for level 2
Wild Weasel for the flying level 3 (you could play Wild Bill or Ace)
Storm Shadow for level 4 (if you save him he joins your team classic Joe storyline)
Dr. Mindbender for level 5
Firefly for level 6
Destro and the Baroness for level 7
Cobra Commander for level 8
I left Serpentor out for the sequal becuase of course this game will rock.

Only thing better than a great western movie, is being in a great western game. It was beautiful and a tonne of fun. It was also easy to finish the whole thing in 2 days. :(

Oh man, I loved Skies... I bought a used DC for $20 so I could play that game... and Omikron. You know, for the Bowie concert. I used to blast Grace Under Pressure when I played Omikron.

ok, so why did you have to go and show me that!! lol my social life is going to slowly slip away, again!! managed to recover from WoW-itus a while ago.
i had actually heard about the game but never looked into it (can't remember why now). may check this out, went onto the site and it seems they've got a Mac client as well now! :)

Couldn't agree more.. Factor 5 did a great job, for the most part, on the Rogue Squadron titles.. but they were always a little to Star Foxish for me. Bring back a fully realized space combat sim in the SW universe.
The prequels may have sucked, but Lucas did give us a ton of new space craft to see and wish to fly...
and re: SWG as it was originally released.. I'd be back in a heart beat. I am still angry that just before the Ranger revamp that promised us new skills and a revamped camping system.. Rangers were whacked from the game along with all the fun! bastards. Still.. I ocassionally log in.. and have high hopes for whatever BioWare and LucasArts have up their sleeves.

Hell.. I'd settle for a bit of a DX10 update, using the Crysis engine with everything turned up to max, of Wave Race 64. The water effects would be out of this world!
