View Full Version : What Websites Do You Frequent?

This is a bit off the topic of comics, and there may have been a thread about this already, but hey - who cares.

I'm curious:
What websites do you frequent and why? I'm not looking to hear about how great (or not great) iFanboy.com or Revision3.com is. Or to hear people pimping their personal sites.

Rather what sites do you go to for entertainment, news etc.

thanks.

Wow, I feel sheltered after seeing some of those lists:

Clik.to/jlu, actionfigureinsider.com, Rev3, Major Nelson, pwinsider.com, Eelstheband.com, facebook, Ebay(too much), Demonoid, isohunt, Espn and all it's related sites, newsarama, comic book resources, comics continuum, X-entertainment, NFL.com, Rototimes, Engadget, webwaymonsters.com, Gamefaqs, homestarrunner, King's Chronicles and probably about 10 more I can't think of off the top of my head. I usually have an open window for digg at all times too. I occasionally check out all the various blogs, twitters and whatnots that everyone here has as well.

Huh...thinking about it...I don't have that many regular sites that I frequent.

I hit Newsarama and Comic Book Resources every day. Those are really the only comics sites I hit, aside from iFanboy.

I'll get news from CNN or maybe LA Times.

I play a little on Facebook and/or MySpace

I have started subscribing to more RSS feeds, including:

Boingboing.net
Engadget.com
Uncrate.com
The Beat
Aurgasm.us

Huh. That's really about it, though. I'll go to other websites, but not with any regularity.

Oh, and lately I've been really amusing myself with StumbleUpon.com and the stumbleupon toolbar (although I hate toolbars). Anyone else use this? I'm sure I'm late in the game, but it turns out to be a great work procrastination tool.

Ain't it, though? It's like..."I'll just hit it ONE more time. And that's it! Ah, that wasn't very good. OK, ONE more..."

This thread was a great idea, Ron.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten past the Addicting Games link in Eso's post.

Ok, so aside from iFanboy and Rev3, I visit:

yahoo.com (e-mail & news)
livejournal.com (blogging and keeping up with my friends)
myspace.com ('cause I wanna know what Kevin Smith and Brian Bendis are up to, also to know when the next ScripTease show is happening)
nationstates.net ('cause it's a fun little game about running your own country and the book it promotes, Jennifer Government, was freakin' sweet)
craigslist.org ('cause I need a new place to live and strangers to have sex with. also the Best of Craigslist is funny as hell)
meebo.com (all the instant messaging programs in one website!)
gmail.com (more e-mail)
wikipedia.org (hours of random shit to read)
somethingpositive.net (one of the funniest webcomics EVER)

Those're the main ones.

I agree tenfold, unless ten is too much, in which case I would agree to whatever amount is acceptable.
