View Full Version : Who Would You Like To See "Team-Up"?

Back in the 70s and early 80s, Marvel had these great team-up titles (Marvel Team-Up, Marvel Two-In-One, Marvel Double Feature, etc.). Typically, one superhero would anchor the title and would be partnered with another for a single issue. DC has resurrected the "buddy" comic with The Brave and Bold, with different pairs of superheroes in each issue.
Here's my question: If Marvel published an ongoing team-up book, which two characters would you like to see paired together for an issue? Bonus: Which villain would they face?

Wolvie & Bucky would be so cynical. I don't know if they play off each other well.

Kirkman's Marvel Team Up that was cancelled about a year ago was pretty good, too.

With the way New Avengers has gone with the motely crue of characters in the team, you may get get to see it...especially if Bucky (oops, I mean Winter Soldier) ends up being the new Captain America.

There was a Marvel event called Acts of Vengence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acts_of_Vengeance) that had all the bad guys taking on someone other then their main foe. Wolverine fought the Mandarin and it was great. I'd love to see that happen again. Add Iron Man in there and set it in the current times and I could see nothing but good things.

Here's a couple off the top of my head..
Galactus and Deadpool -A crazy cosmic adventure to save the universe.
Bullseye and Longshot - A competition between the two best sure-shots around.
Speedball and Penance - Sucked from the past, Speedball has to take out Penance if he ever wants to return home.
How about penance and:

GENE SIMMONS' DOMINATRIX?!?!?!

I would absolutely love a `Deadpool Team-Up` book. i don`t care who he teams with as long as it changes from month to month/ arc to arc
i'd buy it, and with the cancellation of Cable & Deadpool it seems like a good idea. Marvel get on this

I liked Kirkman's Team Up, but my problem with it was the ongoing story lines. When I look at a Team Up book, I want one and done stories. Kirkman did a good job, but it wasn't what I was looking for. I want a Dan Slott Team Up book.

Good team-up books are one-and-done. They aren't made for story arcs spanning several issues.

I agree steve team-ups should and done. I think that they should do one like every year. They would one shots or something and thats it.

The new Brave & the Bold has had a continuing story arc. Each issue was succinct but the threads to continue the adventure were also present.
Love tB&tB, myself.

Hydra could be using the Lizard as a diversion for a bigger crime they're commiting nearby, say robbing a bank or breaking into Rand Corp.

If we're now talking team-ups from different universes, how about Wolverine and Ripclaw (Wildstorm) with Jim Lee as the artist... oh the irony... blood galore... make it even better and throw in the Punisher!

I agree! They really need to actually talk in issues of New Avengers. It's like that whole Heroes for Hire era with them never happened. I don't think they've had any lengthy dialogue yet.

Luke named his kid Danny. There is an implied under current in New Avengers, they just don't bash it in to your head.
