Basically, this is a request to all those software developers out there. I am not sure if I am the only one out there that would love this but I am pretty sure there are lots of people that would. Here it is:

A media center application for the Windows or Linux platform that is built for not only media like photos, videos, and music, but also for IPTV content. A media center PC with a built in rss feed aggregator that allows you to subscribe to IPTV content (Such as the Revision3 shows) and display it in a TV Guide style to be watched on your TV.

IPTV is such an awesome revolution for independant media, however there is no easy and really cool looking and functioning way to get it on your TV.

Maybe I am crazy, but this would kick ass! Does anyone know of any projects that have this idea in mind.

Hi,

We develop a media center application for Windows called TVTonic.

It's exactly what you are talking about. The whole application is designed to by navigated with a remote control, and the IPTV content is offered in a channel guide that looks like your regular TV Guide.

You can subscribe to all the Revision3 shows, or just subscribe to the new TechTonic channel in our featured guide, which will deliver all the best tech IPTV shows together in the same channel.

We think TVTonic makes watching internet video as reliable and easy as switching to your favorite cable channel.

It's 100% free and we work hard to bring together a lot of great content. We produce our own alternative music video channel, and aggregate most of the HD video from gametrailers.com into our GTtv channel.

Check us out at www.tvtonic.com and let me know what you think. This community is probably our target audience, so if any of you have feedback or requests, please don't hesitate to contact me: andre -at- tvtonic -dot- com...

And here's a link to our new tech channel announcement:

Oop, and a digg story, which will probably have been buried by the time you read this. :)
