Well, considering the fact that that well is our only real option, there are MANY reasons to do it. This method is the only one that is going to be accepted and that's just the way it is so we gotta embrace it.

it's a good thing that whole statement is false otherwise we may be in trouble. to continue using my analogy. some people claim the mountain god talks to them and they claim he said that drinking from the stream was bad. luckly for us they don't control the whole stream just one part of it and we can keep drinking for it no matter what they say.

only the president thinks stem cell reseach is bad. he controls the fed. money but his ass is on the way out anyway. colleges, private corperations, and states have all put money into reseach using fetuses. i'm not even going to mention what gains other countries are making.

China's doing amazing research with stem cells. They made a chimera just this year with a field mouse and another type of rodent, both at opposite ends of the spectrum. Pretty neat stuff.

He's saying that it's our only option NOW but that is likely to change. This has been made into a political issue and with the upcoming elections, things are likely to change. So don't throw the traditional method of embryonic stem cells off the table especially if it is more developed and holds more support then this new break through.

So in short, it's our only option temporarily. A little over a year from now things may be very different.
