I like it. It would give me a reason to watch shows about music again, and maybe it will expose me to other bands that I may have passed over once or twice before.

I checked out the shows on their site after someone posted the link in the Digg thread and this one seems to be one of the worse off shows. I'm not sure why Rev3 would put up the worst episode as a pilot. Seems like a bad business idea, unless you wanted the show to fall apart in the first place?
The shows on their site are much better. Give them a look: http://www.notmtv.tv
Maybe Rev3 should consider putting up a better episode?

I most definitely agree here. The episodes on the NotMTV site are way better and I'm really excited for new episodes. NotMTV is definitely something worth watching. Check out their site... There's some really interesting stuff.

The NotMTV.tv website has a few episodes of "From the Shadows."
Ramzi and The Broken on the home page? FTS on the same site? This could be cool.
FTS Box 2 - Star Wars Line documentary (geeky fun )and the interview with a REAL Jedi Knight...lol..funny shite.

I felt that this was the worst of the shows they added (including ones with new episodes released at the same time). It just could not hold my attention. I wish they would bring back some new FTS episodes.

I would LOVE to see FTS come back on Rev3.

I have to agree, this show is by far the worst show on the Revision3 website. Im not trying to be overly mean here, and I understand that haveing a music show, and an underground music show at that on Rev3 is a great idea and could gain much intrest...this was just not good at all. I know people have said there are better episodes on their website..but i'll wait for the next one here to see if it's any good. Because this is the Revision3 website, so I can't judge what's not on this website.

Anyone know how come the Revision3 site only offers a flash version of this show?

I'm just kind of confused as to why this episode was put up. It's not only the oldest episode of NotMTV, but, obviously not only in my opinion, the worst. I'm just not sure why Revision 3 didn't pick a better episode out of the ones on their site. And all of their episodes are available as Flash streams, and available as Windows Media, Quicktime, iPod Video, and PSP Video for downloads on the NotMTV site. Again, another reason I'm confused that Revision 3 isn't picking up more of the quality material (and options) associated with the original site. Just doesn't make sense...
I guess better quality music wouldn't hurt, too. ;)

i'd like it more if it was not all about one band. Maybe make each episode talking about whats new on indie charts and whatnot.

This show does not fit into Revision 3 which is about tech. If I wanted to watch underground music interviews and music videos I would watch FUSE.

I disagree, rev3 needs a variety of shows IMO. Tech is great and all, but we have good tech programs and dont need the market to be completely saturated.
Second of all, since when was rev3 about tech? Six out of eleven of there shows have anything remotely to do with tech. Sure all of them cover the "geek culture". But I would hardly call geekdrome or CAC tech. Actually with this point I take back my previous statement. Rev3 needs more tech, it also needs more non-tech. Hell, Revision 3 just needs better shows.....

fine geek culture, I don't watch those other shows. FUSE is where I get my music not from a podcast.

So you only get music from Fuse, and not iTunes, Myspace, or any torrent site? How does that work exactly? You go out of your way to avoid any contact with audio of any kind in every place but Fuse? Sounds like you could be missing out on a lot of good music you'd never know about because you don't allow yourself the opportunity to hear it.
And yeah, NotMTV doesn't fit in with Revision 3 because it's different, and without variety, Revision 3 as a whole will not succeed. Unless, of course, they're trying to be just another channel as opposed to an entire network.
Also, just as a correction. Revision 3, NotMTV, and all of the organizations like them aren't podcasts. They're internet TV shows. Biiiiiggg difference.

Just a suggestion, one band I love that has a MASSIVE worldwide following that is always technically and musically amazing is Dream theater (www.dreamtheater.net) technically they could be considered mainstream, but MTV and Radio don't go near them as the songs are usually quite instrumental and can exceed 25 minutes in a single song. I was browsing the threads and thought I would drop the idea to ya, hope to see them on there!

Doesn't matter if it isn't "mainstream" it isn't indie.
