ISO not ISM. Try searching google for "burn iso cd".
Knoppix not knappix.
This show is kinda old. If you want to try out linux, grab a copy of ubuntu (www.ubuntu.org).

so...
you download the ISO files.
Then do you download knoppix?
or do you find Knoppix inside of the ISO files?

or do you find Knoppix inside of the ISO files? An ISO is essentially an image of a CD. So, all files you would normally find on a CD are stored together within the ISO.
This leaves you two alternatives - burn the ISO to disc, or mount the ISO as a disc drive. Search online for PowerISO - this will let you mount and burn the ISO to a CD.
But ... ditch Knoppix. As said earlier go to Ubuntu.org and get a distro from there. If you are having trouble with the idea of burning an ISO, getting a knoppix hacker distro is going to be beyond you for the moment. Get used to Linux first.
