Hey folks just had a simple request. The links that you put in the show notes, can you have them open a new window when clicking on them rather than in the same window.

Sometimes while watching the shows such as Systm or the Gazette I like to check out the links of what their talking about while still listening to the show. I know that I can just right-click open blah blah.. but it would just be a easier to simply click on the link. This way I won't loose my location in the show.

Just a simple suggestion.

Thanks.

PS. Sarah, you’re gorgeous!

Since this thread will probably get locked...

Might I suggest you use FireFox? If you already are, just middle mouse wheel click on the link and it will open it in a new tab.

I think it's a matter of them doing it or not. Sure, you can ask them to, but if they don't who cares. Do as crumbles said, or hold down ctrl when clicking.

would love to have firefox but this system is locked down.. (at work). i could open it up but don't really feel like dealing with IS. Thanks for the tips, they are useful but every little tweak helps in making something better right? no big deal really. thanks for the replies though.

Press ctrl as you click the link. It will open the page in a new tab. Voila! problem solved.

Not everyone wants them to open in a new window, so just use the extra half-second to right-click. It's really not that hard, I promise.

Or, you know, use ctrl. Seriously.
