The Geekdrome forum definitely needs a Top 10 Movies thread to start with. Top 10 lists and the #1 Geek Hobby, according to my Top 10 list of Geek Hobbies.

I can make a top ten favorite movies, so instead I'll go with top ten movies I really really like. Also I don't wanna put any Danish movies (I'm from Denmark, yay) on the list, because chances are you don't know 'em :P

In no particular order.

Snatch - Because Pitt talks funny
Garden State - Because you can't love Natalie Portman in it.
Pirates of the Carribean - It's swashbuckling, and Johnny Depp is amazing in it.
The Matrix - Because they hit eachother in cool and new ways.
Back to the Future - Because they go back... TO THE FUTURE!
Serenity - It's Firefly, only movielike.
Crash - Powerful scene after powerful scene, and then a boring one.
Batman Begins - Best f###ing superhero movie out there.
Fight Club - Sorry, can't talk about this one.
Groundhog Day - Just a brilliant movie. The acting, the script, the story. It's deep, it's well done, it's amazing.

I thought Brick was a great movie, but isn't it a little soon to have it on a top 10 list? It only came out this year, right?

Actually, now that I think about it, it is not. Most of my favourite movies became favourites the first time I saw them. Never mind.

Hey now, I have The Quiet Man on my list. Great movie made way before 1975 with John Wayne. If you haven't seen it look into it. This movie also features what is probably my favorite fight scene in a movie ever. I like that fight even better than the "put on the glasses" one in They Live.

There's A LOT more to it than that. It is this whole long, drawn out, drunken brawl that goes all over the town. It is one of the longest fights in cinematic history. But the movie is so much more than that.
