We may have been dashed upon the rocks, but you've still got Episode 49 to warm your souls before what will likely be our final taping, a live show celebrating our 50th episode, a show to which you're invited to attend.

It will happen Saturday, December 1, at The Uptown Bar in San Francisco. Doors open at 2pm, show starts at 2:30. 21 and over. Sorry, no exceptions.

But back to Episode 49. Blackwolf Dragonmaster, Duke of Talisker makes an unannounced call, bemoaning the loss of his computer. So Martin initiates the "A Wizard is a Terrible Thing to Waste" fund, in order to buy the proud mage a new machine. To donate, use this PayPal address. All proceeds go directly to Blackwolf.

We also go Bloggin' by the Bay, and do some Geek Fashion critiques. This time, we rate the costumes of three attendees of DragonCon, a terrifying female bounty hunter, a busty Wonder Woman, and some wayward Goth kids.

This is followed by an ass-kicking conversation with self-defense expert Rickey Kang, who describes what he'll do to Revision3 CEO Jim Louderback if he does indeed cancel Infected, which now looks like a forgone conclusion.

And remember, Saturday, December 1, we'll literally see you at the bar.

I think this episode deserves merit just because of that.

Martin.. sorry about the show being cancelled but seriously.. we all or at least most of us knew it was coming. The show isn't very funny and doesn't provide very much. Gator's hillbilly antics were funny at times but overall the show was pretty bad. Good luck to you, hopefully you can find a new spot on another show.

I'm sad to see this show canceled. Although parts weren't funny, I still enjoyed watching it. I hope this means Martins free to start another show on rev3.

Its a staple of my weekly Podcast diet. I could very well die of malnutrition at this point if this show gets offed.

Please think of the children.

I certainly hope it doesn't get cancelled. It's been great to have Marty back making bizarre TV, and Gator is great.

Sadly, I miss the old audio-only version (with odd random pictures of the gang) and the active participation of Joey. Maybe a return to that format would be a way to keep the show going.

Either way, thanks gang for 50 great episodes.

Well, if it's true there will be absolutely no reason for me to come back to Revision 3 anymore. I used to watch diggnation but honestly, I can read the stories and get drunk all on my own...

wow.. i can't believe people actually watch this show.. Thank you Jim for letting this show go! Unscrewed sucked and so does this show. Web Drifter is kinda cool though. So don't think I'm bashing martin completely but the show just sucked.. lets be honest.

If Infected is really canceled, I will personally hire my cousin Big Louie to anally rape Jim Louderback.

Conversely, if Infected ISN'T canceled, I will personally hire my cousin Big Louie to anally rape Joey.

The ball's in your court, Louderback!

this hasn't sunk in for me yet. I'm still in denial. I've tried to watch some other shows to see if there is anything else worthy at revision3, but unfortunately all the other shows are garbage (with the exception of the Gazette which is hit or miss I think).

What I really don't understand is how shows like 'The Totally Rad Show' can actually garner an audience. I guess the other shows on rev3 are probably great for the people without brains who just want to listen to a few guys with no personalities spouting inane crap in squeaky voices.

I shed tears

Come on Louderback. All the talk when you took over was about how you'd ruin the spirit of Revision3. Don't prove all that talk true by doing this and canceling the most character rich show on Revision3 by far while promoting what was the status quo in tech coverage years ago. What, are we bound to sell Revision3 off to pure corporate suits who will totally ruin it in a couple of years again too?

Besides, I don't even understand this concept of "canceling" a podcast. What does that mean? Podcasts don't really have time slots, and Martin and Jay are going to be on the payroll still(?) anyway, so why not have them still make it if they really are still willing to continue with it. Are you guys really that busy?

And then, part of this smells of some sort of publicity stunt for a new format for the show. But who knows. And Besides, as someone who frankly preferred the original format, I don't see how a new fancy pants format could benefit this style of comedy.

I am sad to see infected going off the air. I thought the show was very funny. I was hoping infected could become a monthly show so it would stay in the rev3 lineup. Anyone think a monthly show can be done or does rev3 want to get shows on that are going to come out weekly.

Say it aint so Martin. Infected is far too hilarious to be canceled while alex albrecht remains on the air. Their is no god and lady justice is dead. I write this sobbing in front of my laptop while the last ounce of wild turkey evaporates from the boot. my piss bucket is rusting out and fermented urine is spilling all over the libraries public restroom. ****! a damn waste of some good mold wine.

That being said i hate forums (sorry regulars, it aint my thing) but I must let Martin and Gator know how much I like there show and how dissapointed I would be if they actually cancelled it. Dont you guys remeber when unscrewed was cancelled and everyone bemoaned the idiots at G4? well, revision3 brass please don't let the same happen. look what happened to G4 since Marty left. every time i change it to that channel, its like someone threw a turd smack dab in the center of my tv screen. Please don't do the same to revision3. Learn the lessons of the past and keep your gems. I mean really, how much can it be to produce?

I just had to get that little rant out that im sure will never even be read. If it is though, thanks Marty, Gator, Joey and the whole crew for all the laughs you have provided in the harshest of times. I've been watching and subscribing since day one and have infected many of my friends who would never watch G4, Tech TV, internet tv shows or podcasts. If infected somehow doesnt get cancelled, thanks for making me look like a total puss.

See u at the bar on Dec. 1st. Ill be their!

Aight, so i just caught the latest ep of this fine program, and i'm really startin to think this whole cancellation thing is a big hoax. I'm officially callin shenanigans! i wouldn't be making this bold statement if it weren't for Martin's brief blurb at the end of the show about the possibility of a "big announcement" at the live show. i'm startin to think there are bigger and better things in store for the Sarge and Gator. But zombie jesus help us if there aren't... Here's hopin for Unscrewed 2.0!

I may not see yall at the bar on Saturday, but I'll be raisin one right here in Houston for the Infected Army...

if i wanted to watch two drunk guys get (some how) more drunk on a couch, i would walk into another room in my dorm, and if i wanted to listen to a bunch of bias nerds talk about how great they and their opinion (on everything thing is) i would hang out with the library's D&D club. infected is the only show that writes their own jokes and doesn't take them from headlines on website.

UNSCREWED 4EVER!

Alright.. listen. I was trying to be nice about it and sensitive to that fact that Martin might not have a job when cancelled. I wasn't offended what so ever by any of the shows.. I could care less what he talked about. I gave them their fair shot (infected) but everyone (show) that I watched was ignorant, lame, preplanned-premeditated attempts to be funny but weren?t. It reminded me of the losers in high school that would act out, do stupid things, and be retarded for attention because they weren't that cool. Gator on the other hand seemed cool; he was just along for the ride on Martin's shitty show.

So.. I'm not being a hater no matter what you think. I just know that the show sucked along with the majority of people out there.. not just the few of you in here begging for it not to leave.

Thanks be to Jim (and all others involved) for tirmmin' the fat off of Revision3!

PS.. Please don't let us down if this is some hoax.. break it off now like a bad relationship.. somethings don't change, it will only get worse.

Unfortunately, the anti-infected posts that call it childish and immature get responded to by childish and immature posts. Is it really that hard to believe that Infected's humor isn't appealing to most people? That really shouldn't be too shocking to anyone. Yes, this is the Infected forum but if this cancellation is a serious possibility then it'd be nice to see more than name calling and comparing Infected to other shows. Despite what you think of DIggnation, it IS a more accessible show than Infected which has a specific sense of humor that a lot of people find childish/immature. I love Infected and most certainly don't want it to get canned but it's not difficult to see why it's being considered.

I hate Jim Powderfart!
He is the reason I stopped watching Tech TV back in the day.
I can't stand that no-nothing rocky mountain cocksucker.
it makes me angry to think he is the moron calling the shots in this wide open new frontier. Sure your show is disgusting and off color, and disturbing. but so is life. how is offering something that is wanted a bad thing? if it goes... just bring Gator on to web drifter. and spread the infection in new ways.

You're opinion is worth just as little as mine in this issue. And if you think he was "keeping the revision 3 ship afloat" you are obviously wrong. If that were true, in any real sense, Infected wouldn't be threatened with cancellation.
