It would be nice is Rev3 would help em out esp since some of them are TechTV alums. It is just talking for an hour once a week, not that much work. Hell, Leo doesn't mind doing all the tech work involved in getting the episode released. I think between everyone at Rev3 and everyone in the other TWIT podcasts (netcasts) there should be enough people to keep the show going. Patrick and Devorak seemed to have gone the way of the corporate machine, but that doesn't mean everything good has to stop.

I don't think Twit and Rev3 are getting along right now. Deathmatch!

It would really suck if TWiT were to go off the air. It would suck even more if some kind of 'beef' were to arise between Rev3/TWiT/ZiffDavis. I think they all provide good, quality content; and I hope that things can remain stable for a while longer.

I thought they were bringing a TechTV type channel onto the net...I remember seeing a story on digg about it...

Although I never got an invitation code, the website is there.

I usually listen to TWiT when I go walking. It's a great way to learn about stuff that sometimes gets on Digg but isn't very well explained. It's a real shame that it might stop, because there are very few quality podcasts that do this well.

Leo has these online tantrums. I wouldn't worry until he actual announces that he's quitting.

I listen to TWIT when I walk too (on the treadmill) and enjoy it for the same reason. I always really appreciate what I learn from the TWIT crew.

Twit was the first netcast that I listened to, and from there I learned about systm, thebroken, dltv, digg, diggnation, etc.... TWIT is still one of my favorite netcasts available so if Patrick and Dvorak are to big to do the show then go and get Woz, Mitnick or anyone else with a personality to step up to the plate. It would be a great loss if we lose TWIT. The world without the TWIT army will be doomed to suffer under the control of the likes of Ted Stevens.

He is a great guest, but it becomes nothing but TWiW (this week in woz).

I can understand where Leo is coming from though. Producing something like this on a weekly basis *is* a job for him. We want to have people on the panel that are known in the tech industry, rather than people like us (although, I am sure that any of us would probably serve on the panel quite well). Now that netcasting is taking off as a business model, people are being locked into other committments, or projects of their own that demand their time, so getting 4-5 people together on Skype once a week would be like herding cats.

Maybe it's hard for me to understand because i have no life, but if this is because nobody shows up for the tapings, that is horrible. Is it too much for the guest to spare an hour an half a week for the most popular tech podcast in the world?

i haven't listened to TWiT for like 20 episodes...it seems to have gotten monotonus and like the hosts are doing it cuz they're obligated, not because they want to...i think TWiT should just stick the knife in a bit more and be done with it...and i have been a listener since the beginning of the show and i'm kind of sad to see what it has turned into...i remember Leo saying he would never take ads, but he took the AOL ads that i understood and was OK with, but the Dell and Visa ads are a bit over the top...i think TWiT's become more of a cash cow to him than anything...i'm glad it sorta started or really energized the podcasting front though...

Hmm, this sounds an awful lot like the Leo Feedburner tantrum of '05 and the negative comments about TWiT tantrum of Feburary '06...

I doubt it's really as bad as he makes it seem.

I hope they don't cancel TWiT either. Granted, it is not as good as the first 8 months or so of it, but it is still good.

Although I disagree with Leo and his stupid netcast thing. It is podcast. I know the whole argument is that Apple will block everyone from using that, but that will never happen.

Anyway, I digress. Long live TWiT !! Maybe they just need to take a breather for a few months and the try again, refreshed.

I've disliked the idea of calling it a "netcast" from the start... and what has Leo done with his great idea? It's just making the whole matter more confusing. Now half the people call them podcasts, a handful call them netcasts, vidcasts, webcasts, and whatever else. While podcasting is definitely making its mark, I think the goal should be to bring the community together, not add more to the whole mess in hopes of taking credit for it. And like I've said before, it's not like netcast is a new term or anything. Netcast is just a variant of webcast... don't people realize that?

And I believe Apple has said they don't want to stop people from using the word podcasts, it's just that in some cases they have to in order to defend their copyrights. Kind of like with Digg needing to tell people to stop using Digg in their website name or whatever. Obviously they don't care, but it's just something they have to do.

TWiT started it all, how could you say it was worthless?

I would hate to see anything happen to TWiT!

I am currently serving on the ground in Afghanistan and TWiT means a lot to me over here. I am currently unable to get any of the latest episodes, but listening to the ones I do have reminds me of home, and better times ahead.

TWiT is my favorite Podcast. It would be VERY sad to see go.
