Let me know what you guys think of it. I read a few earlier reviews that really made it sound like something I could pass one. Its possible those where misleading though as main stream reviews often are.

So as not to spoil it for everyone doing the DVR thing...
It's an interesting take on the old OZ story. There is clearly a lot of depth to the O.Z. (Outer Zone as they are calling it), but it's only been just briefly touched on thus far.
The acting is good, but the 'wicked witch' isn't really very wicked and she looks like a WoW character, IMO.
They deviate from the old movie version of OZ greatly but there are very clear ties to the original story too.
So far I'm digging it, but there are two more nights to go. We'll see.

I wanna see it, but it's in my regular "tv time" since I am stuck in a Hotel with no DVR...I'll have to grab it through other means I guess. The take on the story looks pretty cool and the scenery and art looks amazing.

I'm totally diggin this show. It has a great cast. I especially love Neal McDonough (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0568180/) (I really liked him in Band of Brothers). It's a totally re-imagined take on Oz, it makes a completely new adventure still feel familiar. It has a quirky almost cute yet witty sense of humer. The art direction almost reminds me of Terry Gilliam (Brazil). So far I am totally loving this mini-series. -Cheers

Cool I'll set the DVR tonight. Lots of space left that most of the shows I watch are on hold right now :(

I had pretty high hopes for this show. I REALLY like the original books and the movie is one of my favorites.
So far, my feelings are kinda mixed. I like the show pretty well, but I feel like it's lacking something. I think it's going to get better and I'm excited to see what happens tonight.
I'd give the first part a 7.5/10

What I saw of it, wasn't very...good. Seemed like a generic fantasy B-movie.

JMHO, but this is a good idea that is poorly executed.
Love Neal Mcdonough, h-a-t-e Zooey Deschanel and I don't much care for the rest of the cast.
Dreadful CGI.
And I cannot stand how they consistently refer to "The O.Z." ala "The O.C.".
Other than, well, all of that, it isn't too horrible...

Can this show get any more boring?
I rather just see someone make a real film based 100% on the book.

Anyone think it would be cool for someone to make a series based on Todd Macfarlane's Twisted Land of Oz toyline? I would totally watch that.

It was okay. I'll give it a 6/10.
I found it... frustrating. No one - even in The O.Z. - ever talks like these people.
Also I love Zooey....
But she's delivering lines like she's the one thats been trapped in a box for 12 years.
"Oh... my god... and stuff..."
And that vacant look doesn't help.

right there my friend is the formula to be let down by any show. I try to not get excited about too much when you dont know if itll rock or not. I mean LoTR, yea, its gonna rock, get amped, but sci fi movies... well i just assume they are gonna be some what weak or flawed. Works nice cause when its not you enjoy it more cause of that. I know that might sound weird, but its true.

Thats just her natural talent. Look back at her on weeds and most of the stuff she plays, that vacant look is kinda her hook. Love her much though.

Episode 2:
Better than 1, I think. Better character development. More fun tips of the hat to the original story.
I really get the feeling that this is just a setup for a series. There is so much to the O.Z. (I agree that not calling it Oz sucks flying monkey butt) that they have not touched on but showed in passing. Why develop things to that level if you didn't plan to use it for something later.
My guess is that if the mini-series does well enough we could see a series in late 2008 or early 2009.

The show is okay. Not as good as it could be, but its kind of enjoyable to watch. Its only three episodes long tho, so I have a feeling its gonna be a bit rushed. Or, its going to lead into a series.
Hey, does anyone know what kinda coat Glitch wears? What style coat is that? Is it just a tailcoat? Or what?

As a made for tv scifi channel stuff goes this is great, yes its based on the old oz but it was at least good enough to make me forget that, until they referenced the old stuff, witch wasnt to often.watched the last ep tonight and was fairly underwhelmed in the wrap up but like i said for a scifi made for tv project it was good.
All in all its worth a watch i am sure they will show it all back to back in the future for anyone who missed it just as they do with others like the merlin,or that one that i cant rember the name of where there are lepercans and the guy from national lampoons vacations, independence day.

After watching the final episode, I have to say that for the whole thing I'd give it a 6.5-7 out of 10. Not bad, but really missed some marks.
The second part was definitely the best. The 3rd was a bit too predictable and the references to the original Oz were getting almost silly.
I still think SciFi is going to try to make a series out of it.
