One of my friends had a modem when I was a kid in the early nineties. The only thing I found fun with it was calling up Pizza Hut and hearing the pizza guy say hello frequently through his soundblaster that was installed on his 386sx PC
I was and am a console gamer through and through ;) But I think I know what you're talking about

In the BBS days I could barely afford to eat. 1994 was great because I got out of architecture and in to telecom. I bought my first PC since my apple II+ from the 80s and immediatly began playing Doom.

Actually I remember friend dowloading topless pictures of famous people off BBS and I though that was awesome aswell as waiting 4 days to get FX fighter for the PC thinking it was going to be better then Tekken. That was 1995, when Internet was allready out there, and modems were reaching dizzying hights as 14.4 kbps
FX fighter wasn't as good as Tekken. Especially with a joystick.

Didn't we have a thread about this? All I know is PimpWars. I loved that game. But I'm guessing these are different.
And how much did you love playing Stick Fighter? With all the Street Fighter sounds? Pretty ridiculous.

Stick Fighter was awesome! It let you create two extra characters and I kept creating M. Bison so I could pretend to be playing championship edition.
I was a ****ing lame kid who deserved all the cruelty given to me in my school years. Not just because I couldn't speak english, but because I was lame! In my country Commodore 64 was still mainstream and popular in 1994 in Hungary when you're 14 beer and sex was easier to get a hold of then computer games. I still managed to get games while avoiding sex :P

Yeah. Best BBS Game (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=525).
This thread gets extra points because it has links to games.
