390KBYTES/s, but I'm saving it to the UBS2 drive.
Wow, the HD file is pretty large. Did you guys rob a bank?

It is a little bigger than the Diggnation HD, but it is not that much bigger or smaller than previous TRS HD episodes. :) But yes.. we did rob that HD bank...

I always download the large xvid and all my 1MB bandwidth is taken up by it and always has been, so it's the same speed for me, but then I'm not the best test.

3Mb/sec this week versus 500kb/sec last week. Love the improvement! Now since I am downloading the HD version, the speed boost was most needed. :D

Its a lot slower than it was last week. usually i download the HD in about 10-15 minutes @ 600KB/s or so, but this week it took like an hour only downloading @ 100KB/s with some spikes up around 250KB/s, and even goings as low as 50KB/s.
its not my connection either, download speeds are usually 1MB/s.

I don't notice the dl speed. It is downloaded by iTunes and synched to my Apple TV. Each evening i turn on my TV and watch the dl podcasts. So speed doesn't matter for me.

I download the high res version, usually and it always uses all of my bw which is about 900-1000KBs. Today it was about 200KBs. I just thought it was because of Alex's appearance on AOTS. I was hoping there was a big influx of people finding the TRS for the 1st time. :)
ive always been able to download at 700-800KBps, and its still the same.

Mine downloaded automatically in my zune software, so I can't really say how fast it went. Sorry Chuckles.

Please PM your IP address and a traceroute (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traceroute#Example) to bitcast-a.bitgravity.com. It would be helpful if you also include what kind of connection you're using (cable, dsl, FiOS, etc) and what kind of throughput you were getting previously vs what you're getting now.
Thanks :)

it was much faster than normal. Usually because of my campus internet connection it literally would have been about 24 hours to download..so I just streamed it off the player. But this time it actually freaking downloaded ..didn't know how long it took because my wife downloaded it while I was at work, but it usually would have taken about 12 hours at least.

My vote may seem insignificant. But, Months ago my Rev3 downloads worked up to just over 1.1 Mbps. That may be me, but I can still get that speed and more megs on other downloads combined. I am in no way hear to complain. Except to say other countries have MANY more megs/s than us. That is not Rev3s' problem though.

The download seems to be slower from where i am. Usually i get 600-700kbs and now i get 250-300kbs. A bit annoying when you're in a hurry :D And i live in Denmark if that matters :)

im not sure if i had a problem with my network or what, but it took *7 HOURS* to download the HD version. it usually takes me about 2 on the campus network. like i said, it could have been the campus network, but it was ridiculously slow.

So here are my stats for the most recent TRS episode 38 - Soul Poppin in HD
File Size - 650.23MB
Top Speed - 960KB/s
Avg Speed - 759.4KB/s
Total Time - 13:50
ISP (Rogers) - 8Mb/s down - 800Kb/s up
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I bet it would go faster if I had more speed from my ISP. I just can't justify 99.99/mth for 18Mb/s service.

I tried downloading the 'large quicktime' version of ep38 yesterday and in iTunes it said it was going to take 4hrs. so i ended up watching the flash version on the website.
will try downloading it again tonight.

I definitely see an improvement probably about 35% increase overall.
On another note, where I'm from, when we get 100-150 kbps we are ecstatic!! Our internet really sucks, paying about $150 per month for a lousy connection

Much slower. Normally get about 9Mbps, now getting about 400Kbps.
ISP: Rogers cable in Toronto, Ontario. 18Mbps service.
Hey, I'll wait the 2 hours to get it downloaded, but I sure miss the download speed.
