Martin's new show "Internet Superstar" will premiere in mid January. What will the show be like?

it could be a call-in show, tomgreen gets good numbers with his call-in show. have a guests from all of internet on and take questions from viewers, maybe some segments from infected like the tech news ticker and gator's gals.

Wow, those suggestions are totally opposite of what i was thinking.

When I hear Internet Superstar, I imagine people like Tay Zonday (choclate Rain) who has made himself an icon online.

I was thinking Internet Superstar would be martin every week trying to become an Internet Icon.

Marty my boy... you have done well... Infected is/was a show surpassed by none. It was consumed by the Riptide, but from the rubble and debris washed up on the shore, like a drunken phoenix rising from the ashes of the dank pit of a dive it called home, but accidentally burned down after one too many tequila slammers, the 3rd incarnation (or 3rd "revision" if you will) of the Sargecast is born...

Internet Superstar - the Chronicles of a Legend... can't wait good sir... can't wait...

Sounds the same as Web Drifter.

What's the point of stopping one show and then making a new one with a different name. Why not keep the infected show, and change the format?

Not necessarily, no. Infected has a completely different format now from when it started.

The show will be about home remodeling. They are currently recruiting a homosexual that knows a lot about feng shui and good qi.

There will also be violin playing robots.

My thoughts exactly. Even the name makes me think of the concept behind Webdrifter.

I'm not sure what it could actually be that will make it different from Infected and Webdrifter.

Does a violin playing robot count as a live band?

Rebranding, right?

...hotlines are open. Sarge' as the operator. Think it would actually be funnier than the Tom Green show. Have the whole thing wired, Skype, AIM, Yahoo! with little sub-sets of InterNet Superstars of yore', like that chubby Star Wars kid that got famous with the light-sabre routine, maybe even interview the one chick who was so broken up over Brittiany Spears that she couldn't get out from underneath the covers. Could do the VH-1 thing, like Internet SuperStars - Where Are They Now? Cover the lifestyles of our buddy 'Tom' from MySpace. Whatever they come up with though will definitely kick ass. Been watching for a while, and have yet to be disappointed.

Incidently, I found Gator a new, clean, Alaska camoflauged hat for x-mas; jus' dunno where to send it. Figure he might 'dress-up' for the holidays, and might appreciate the guesture, any ideas? I guess I could send it to the Diggnation addy, but I doubt he'd ever get it.

Perhaps its like American Idol? Where people compete to be the next greatest internet superstar.

Nah, like you'd have every ass stretcher in the bay area there. I mean I'd watch it, but ... come on.

That's what I thought of when I read the new title name. I get the fact that Martin is one, but the show title "Internet Superstar" sucks big time.

According to a post on the Revision 3 blog, the Gator will, in fact, be involved....

But will he be involved in front of the camera? Or will he merely write/produce like he does for Web Drifter?

I'll be terribly disappointed if Jay isn't in front of the camera. :(

people compete to be the next greatest internet superstar.

i don't think you can actually compete like american idol because the scope of the net is so much greater and there is absolutely no way of knowing what other potential 'stars' are doing at any given time

being an internet icon is much more spontaneous less easily manipulable

that is what makes it fascinating
