I read an article that the Wii's controller lends itself to the game better but I"m sure it won't be that huge an issue. On other controllers that aren't motion based I'm sure it'll just be a matter of holding down one button while pressing another or selecting a power in order to do a special move or power like in X-Men Legends.

But I'm excited to be jumping around my room like an asshole.

And if I'm gonna wait in a midnight line, you know it'll be a prime opportunity for a little GEEKDROME EXCLUSIVE!!!!!!!

wait. are you talking about the game or the Wii itself? i am almost certain the Wii does, but less sure about the game.

The first game to be available to play online is a Pokemon title which comes out in January I think. It's also the first game out that'll let you connect your DS to the Wii for extra functionality.

As for Mario Kart, I'll battle any of you on the DS. Everyone except for Vijay anyways, I don't want him to slander my good name in Cheat World.

It is so awesome, it plays alot like the X Men legends games but better and the graphics are also very improved. Being Captain America and throwing the shield that first time I thought I was going to bust a nut, web slinging with spidey is also very awesome, when you get to the first spot to be able to change characters you get a chance to look at the selectable people, not everyone is unlocked from the beginning so im glad thats back because I really missed it in XML2, the Winter Soldier is an ass and the final boss in the first level is a big time holy shit moment. I dont want to go into to much detail on stuff because it will be so much better when people experience it themselves.

I played it for about 45 minutes this morning before I headed out for school, it was fun, but not mindblowingly awesome. It does have some great aspects. Like Deadpools statements, and playing as Deadpool.

aight, just played this piece for 3 hrs straight. damn, when they said every mutha phucka was is in this they weren’t jackin around. gotta keep da Marvel handbooks & wikipedia handy.

made it to Atlantis, it’s freakin bananas. underwater fighting is nuts.

there’s almost too many peeps to play with, and haven’t even really unlocked anyone yet (except the Silver Surfer that came with the pre-order, haven’t even used him yet).

the cut scenes & overall story are dope too.

3 hours and your already in atlantis? Ive got 5 hours in and im about to start atlantis but I search through every level for shit and talk to all the people in between levels and do the comic missions as well so im not rushing through.

naw, i usually put off searching for stuff/side missions til my second run through or after i finish each act. too stoked to see what happens next.

Just picked up the game today. Me, my brother, and two other friends have been going at it co-op style and it is awesome. The first big boss fight put a big smile on my face.

I also like how the dialogue changes depending on who you are. For instance, I'm playing as Elektra and Bullseye had some choice words for me. Voice acting is a bit off and the graphics aren't stellar (although still very good on the 360, the version we got) but the fun factor is through the roof.

I'm a bit of a coin whore which is pissing off my teammates but hey, my costume is kicking ass.

Current team: Deadpool, Elektra, Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man

I wish I liked them more, but I still got pretty excited when I realized that you can play as the entire fantastic 4 at the same time.

Deadpool is sick. Here's my team after playing for about an hour and investigating/trying to learn all the god damned controls:

Cap, Symbiote Spidey, Deadpool, Iron Man. Post your teams, guys. and hey...how does that online shit work? I have a ps2, does anyone know?

I almost went back and switched to Elektra just to see what Bullseye said.

OH, and when a character dies...is there anyway to reverse that? Legally?

i had Ms Marvel die on me. when i got back to Stark's, i swaped her out, then swaped her back in. worked.

i'm on an xbox though, not sure how it works on the PS2.

my team is always Cap & Logan, then i swap out the other two spots at every extraction point just to keep things fresh.

oh, use Sue Richards when you get to Namor. aaaakwwwward.

I always don't like wolverine in games. even though he's always a favorite, i've never been mystified by him as a character. my fear is what I will do when Spidey dies. He dies, I die, I start over. How can I keep spidey around without starting over? If he's left dead in a level...should i progress because he'll re-appear, or start over? cause i'm trying to make him ridiculously strong and my main character...

like what if you lost cap? what would you DO?!

yeah, if he dies in a level you gotta wait until the level's finsihed, i think, then swap him out/swap him back in. you could try teleporting back to Stark's and swapin' him, might work. when i lost marvel it was at the end of the level.

i'm a straight Leeroy Jenkins run and bash kind of player, so Logan works good for me.

Yeah, we decided right off the bat that Wolverine would not be a part of our team. Sure he's bad ass but we see too much of him in comics already.

As soon as Daredevil becomes available I'm going to switch to him.

I always choose spidey in games no matter how weak he is, I make him strong. haha I think him and cap will be permanent members of my team. I could always exchange the other two. I'm gonna get spidey, deadpool, and human torch on one team and see if the game has an "annoy cap" option.

Ugh, the Mandarin boss fight was annoying. Getting the spiders on the teleporters was way more trouble than it should have been.

When a character dies it starts a 5 minute revival clock, when that 5 minutes are up you will get a message at the bottom of the screen of the screen that says the person is platabke again you then go to an extraction point and click the 4th option which is revive team, if you also check the extraction point when someone is dead it will show you how much longer before the person can be brought back.

After reading this threat, I realise now that I must own this game. It's not a matter of merely wanting to play it. Every second in which I am not playing this game knaws at my soul like the slow decay of rotting flesh. I feel empty inside, a slow dull ache like the bitter pain of a love long lost, and I know that without aquiring what sounds like the pinnacle of my young life devoted to Marvel Comics I shall surely lose all that makes me bright and unique as a human being, plunging forever into a half life of endless wandering as a mere wraith, a shadow of what once was.

So far, it's awesome. I have to admit, though, I nearly fell off my couch when I flung Cap's shield over the edge of the helicarrier. >.<

There are several really visceral actions in the game. For example: as the Thing, when you grab someone, lift em up and slam them down into the ground.. awesome.

Considering what's going on in Marvel right now (Civil War) I kinda want to kill Stark though. :)

whatever. i ike Iron Man in spite of what’s cracking now with Civil War. i like Wolverine even though he’s been played out to death. and I’ve never really been into Spider-Man. so what? it’s all good. :cool:

i do recommend setting up a 4 person “My Team”. i admit i was scared/skeptical at first to commit to a permanent team, but the novelty of playing as different people wears off after a while (especially Mr. Fantastic, his ball roll thing seriously got on my nerves). the whole reputation point system is pretty cool, plus there’s a stronger empathic connection to your team. when i lose someone a little piece of me dies inside.

hahaha, that's SUCH a typo. I meant it when I said I'm poor...EDIT: ps2!!! It' just that with all the ps3 talk, it's hard to type differently.

Its really close to the XML and MUA gameplay wise, infact the controlls are almost exactly the same except the powers trigger is L2 instead of R2. There is only two characters in each mission. Its not as good as MUA but its still a really fun game and theres lots of unlockable characters and costumes in it.
