Disappointed

I was rather disappointed with the Gaming section, and really felt like a few barely gaming-savvy people discussing games. It just felt relatively low-quality. It was mostly a bunch of minor issues, from Jim's error with the fact that the Wii controller can play games, to calling the Classic Controller the Virtual Controller, it didn't feel very solid. The main tone issue for me was in the Virtual Console section, the focus was more on Old Games being cheap and somehow comparing them to new games, instead of focusing on the nostalgia aspect of it. Probably a great segment for non-gamers, but for a gamer, not necessarily a compelling section. I mostly just expected better.

Tekzilla doesn't need a gaming segment, TRS does a great segment every week already. Is Tekzilla the show where Revision3 just throws every left over item that doesn't have its own show??? Oh please. No wonder I read many threads of disapointment in this show.

I don't like TRS so I never watch anymore(just like the forums) and never liked how they review things...this will evolve more into a TSS/DLtv type thing when they get on the real set in the studio and many love the show including me and it DOES need a gaming segment and has has reviewers from 1up or former Gamespot guys do it in the past..just this time Jim tried and it was meh.

Also I have seen upset topics about every show Rev 3 has to offer only one currently people got really pissed about was episode 10 of Gazette.

The point is, if Tekzilla is turning into a dl.tv competitor, then I guess you would need a gaming segment. I agree it can't be Jim, he just needs to do his job and be less excited on camera. But if Tekzilla is going to be a show that everything gets thrown into it, then no thanks. I'm sure there is negative comments about every show and perhaps I feel more against this show since I really miss Indigital. I liked that format with all gadgets.

Where Jessica telling us all about a web site we should check out. Heather's weekly comic bender. etc. etc.

Because they said that before the show even started and even in the latest episode they stated it will be much different when they get in the studio,they are limited to what they can do on a temp set standing right in the middle of the offices.

I agree, the segments on Guitar Hero and Rock Band also felt like this. It was more like a "Rock band is cool, let's play it!" and "Guitar Hero is cool, let's get Veronica Belmont to play it!" (which is good TV, I must say. But not good Video Game coverage)

The segments they do well are the science and technology aspects. That should be what defines Tekzilla and they should leave gaming to more specialized shows like TRS or iFanboy.
