You guys have to come over and shoot an episode on the beach in 30 + degrees celcius. We can give you guys accommodation, bring you out on the boat and jetski's orrr you could shoot it down in Sydney but stay at our house on the coast about 20 mins north of Sydney. Let me know if your up for it and we will see what we can pull together!

Yes I too watch Diggnation in the home of Coopers - Adelaide.

Maybe we could get Coopers beer to sponser them coming over to do a show?

Hold it at the brewery and give them a tour!

Digg on...

heh, now thats dedication! :)
Personally, I love Diggnation but I don't think I would be willing to spend five hours (or so?) in a plane and a few hundred dollars flying over to the eastern states just to see a live taping.

I live Western Australia and would definitely fly to Sydney to see Diggnation [I am probably one of the few females in Australia that actually watch the show].

Tourism Australia might be able to sponsor the show and fly you guys over. Maybe fly you guys around Australia

When you goto Brisbane or Gold Coast. You gotta try Guniness Pie @ http://www.omalleysirishpub.com.au/

Forget going to this state or that state - do a friggin' Aussie-Tour! Hit each state and compile one awesome episode :) or... a few... :D

Otherwise.... I vote for Melbourne :)

Agreed. Preger should contact tourism Australia with some stats on the podcast and get a subsidy on the trip. I'm in Brisbane and I'd certainly go see a show if you did one in Brisbane (maybe one week in the three eastern capitals - Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney). I just received my Diggnation t-shirt in the mail (USPS express all the way!) and I'd certainly turn up. I have a few friends who'd appear too, one of whom with a diggnation t-shirt too.

It would be nice for a Perth filming. I would love to see a filming but i don't have the time or the money for a Eastern states trip.

Come meet us West Aussies. :)

Surely if they can go to Tokyo, they can go to Australia.

Sydney would be the place to do it - everyone can identify Australia by the Opera House and Harbour Bridge (and it would give Alex another chance to do his "Matrix" routine).

Melbourne - could be any city in the world. Noone but an Aussie knows the Yarra, or the MCG.

Brisbane - ditto.

Gold Coast - could be Ft Lauderdale (except our beaches are better, beer is better, and women are hotter).

Great Barrier Reef - great location.

Perth - great location ... Freemantle even better :) , but I wouldn't film in WA out of princple - cheating the Swans out of the AFL Premiership. Bah!

(BTW - I am an Aussie, even though I live in the US now. Grew up in Wollongong, spent time working in Coffs Harbour, and lived/worked in Melbourne before moving to US. Still have friends/family all over the place.)

I would agree in entirety if I wasn't a Brisbane fanboi. :P If they do it during Australian holidays then a lot of people will take the time to fly wherever they're going. If they go to Sydney I could see if I could get one of the guys from chaser to come. ;) Yeah, I have contacts. On that subject by the way, they'd be around the same age as Kevin & Alex, wouldn't they?

I have a cousin who works for Tourism Australia, maybe I could ask him if they'd be interested in helping them come over and do a few tapings

Say, one in Syd, one in Adl, one in WA over a few days.

Got to do ADL as its the home of Coopers, one of the last 100% aussie owned breweries left!

Considering the time involved in flying to Australia, they might as well take a couple of weeks and write it off as a PR excursion. Meanwhile they could stop and film in Hawaii, Figi, New Zealand, Sydney, Katoomba/three sisters area, Ayers Rock, Perth...

In fact they could skip Sydney since the world thinks Australia aint nothing but the Opera House and the outback, and nothing else.
But if they go to Sydney they should time it around the bathtub race. Do they still do that? I was raised in Sydned in the sixties/seventies and lived on a house boat at the marina where the started those races. (Berry's Bay Marina near Balls Head Reserve.)

Fun times, and yes, I said "Balls Head" and meant it.

(Maybe they should film it there, great view of the Opera House, and the Harbor Bridge- "Diggnation at Balls Head Reserve. Coming Soon...")

In case the responses here will *in any way* contribute to the likelihood of a show in Australia, consider my "aye" cast.

I'll be there, whatever state you do it in (perth boy working in syd).

Come on guys, get down here and have a beer with us.

I'd also be willing to fly from Perth to wherever in Australia to go see it.

I reckon if this does end up going down whoever lives in Perth and is willing to fly to the shooting should meet up and head down together.

Would be a lot of fun :D

I love Australia!!! I used to live in Brisbane. As an American I had so much fun and did my fair share of traveling up and down the eastern coast. I visited Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise!!! I want to visit Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide. Hopefully once I graduate from college I could moved down to Australia. Kevin and Alex WON'T be disappointed!!

CHEERS!!!!

CHEERS!!!!Would you believe that I am an Aussie (now living in the US), and I actually know where Rancho Cucamonga actually is? :) ... in fact, I used to work for a steel processing plant in Rancho Cucamonga that was formerly owned by an Aussie company. I also get a kick that the old Ontario airport terminal gets used for movies and TV (24) - I spent a lot of time travelling through that airport to our main plant in Washington.

Digg in Australia would rule!

My break down of where in Australia it should be:

Perth - Great place but way to far from any of the other cities, which makes it much harder for the majority of fans to get to.

Adelaide - Fine city but Melbourne and Sydney frankly win over it in sights, night life, and pretty much everything else and considering how close the 3 cities are, they should probably go to one them instead.

Sydney - Is the international symbol of Australia due to its land marks, mainly Sydney Harbour and Bondi Beach.

Melbourne - Sport, Arts, cultural, fashion, shopping and food capital of Australia.
- National Gallery of Victoria and Crown Casino are both the biggest in Australia.
- Healesville wildlife sanctuary is a must see if you want to check out Australian animals.
- Melbourne Cricket Ground, which also hosts Australian Rules Football.
- Best public transport in Australia.
- Oh and most importantly I live there.

So yeah it really depends what you want, personally I think if you go to only one city then it's between Melbourne or Sydney. If it's during summer and you want to go hang at the beach then Sydney has the better beaches. If you want to wine and dine, check out art, gamble, etc. then Melbourne wins. As for nightclubs and bars/pubs I'm not sure as both have fine establishments.

Right on!!!!So how do you enjoy the living in the States vs living in Oz???Tough question. I love my home country, but choose to live in the US for the time being (OK, 9 years so far). There are lots of things I miss about home, family being #1, food (meat pies, sausage rolls, twisties, solo) #2. Apart from that, I live in a nice part of the US that reminds me a lot of the pace of life in Oz, but its still not home.

Meat pies are awesome!!! What part of AUS?Born Sydney, moved "out west", did highschool/uni and started work up on the south coast, 80k south of Sydney, moved up to Coffs Harbour on a contract, and finished up in Melbourne for a couple of years before moving to the US.

Sydney is a great place to visit - Melbourne is an awesome place to live.

I think about moving to Melbourne later on in life. Would you happen to know how strict Australia's immigration polices are?? I remember when I first arrived in Brisbane, Australian customs were very strict to any foreign animals and vegetation.

What do you mean by "non threating"???Non-threatening, as in a country that doesn't harbour terrorist activites and is an ally of the country.

In terms of Scandinavian countries, countries except Sweden are non-threatening, and sweden is only viewed as a threat because of Ikea and ABBA.
