You don't have to pay for groceries, or a car, or a house, yet you would pay for those things. Diggnation comes out for free within 48 hours, a car will go a year and probably not go down in price, much less be free. Stop complaining.

I agree don't complain. I wish I was in the position to be a member, but I am not. It isn't like you can never see it. Why does anyone think you are entitled to it. This is the only thing kept from non members, basically for about 36 hours honestly. From about 7-8 est Friday to 12 est Saturday night. Don't forget that being a member is not only about paying for Diggnation, but all of Rev3 content in some way. Rev3 gives a LOT of content here. If you can't pay for some reason it is ok. But don't complain about what you are not given.

I do the same thing - $50 subscription a year. I don't do it to get it early, I do it because I want to see them succeed.

I agree. The last time this came up, they talked about having other shows start doing this, member's only content, etc. Yet, it seems nothing has changed. Perhaps they are doing it just so they can get the money from the "subscriptions".

BTW if you watched digg around episode 90-110 alex blurted out that they get around 15k from advertising. So who cares? Do you realize how much money the equipment they use costs? Paying all those employees to give you content to watch?

As in the case of Saul Williams' if you paid $5 for the album you were givin a choice of how you wanted to download the album, either in 192kbps mp3, 320 kbps mp3, or flac lossless as a sort of "Thank You" for supporting me. So DIGGnation gives it to you a day early as a "Thank You" As per the argument of the advertising being enough to support the show I say how do you know that? How do you know how much money these little podcasts make? I wanna my part to make sure Kevin and Alex can focus on this show and the world of DIGG as much as they possibley can and not have to worry about any other expenses they might incurr. If you watch a show this much, enough to join a forum and argue about it, then I feel you should support it. 5 Dollars a month is chump change for a whole slew of shows just getting off there feet. Pay Up, Shut Up, and Enjoy!

And who's to say what Radiohead did was the correct business model? They should have done what NIИ did and make it available to stream it online to see if you wanted to own it. It's a lie when you say it's a donation because you want to benefit from a subscription.
