It's that time of year again, to say good-bye to 2007 and ring in a shiny new year! Don't you just love the possibilities?

So how are you celebrating? Do you set New Year's Resolutions? What are you planning for 2008?

Maybe if we know what we are aiming for we can help each other. That way we can all have the raddest year ever!

i never make resolutions, i just don't see the point. you shouldn't need some holiday as a reason to change your life. just do it.
as for traditions, being from the south, it;s blackeyed peas and fatback as the first meal of the new year. you know for luck ;)

No Resolutions for me. I live by the golden rule everyday and that's the only one you really need.

I'm gonna go hang out with some friends this year since we don't have any show booked so hopefully it will be fun.

comhcinc, I love using holidays as touch points. So often time seems to fly by where I am more focused on getting through my lists and trying to keep up with the kid, that I blink and months have gone by.

I use holidays as a way to step back and make sure I am heading in the direction I want to. I also seem to use it as a deadline to make decisions I been putting off.

I understand your point of view, I wish I had the kind of discipline you have. I can just imagine what I could get accomplished. So I use the holidays as an extra push.

That said, Anakin and I plan several things we want to do for the next year. Learn a new sport together (karate was last year) or maybe take a trip somewhere. I also set my own goals too. Then on New Years I watch something fun that I would normally not watch, like Cirque du Soleil or a horror movie marathon. Then we do a huge breakfast with pancakes and sausage and everything.

2007 was great. I graduated from college and after a few painful months and a lot of soul searching I successfully landed a job in radio.

While I haven't been successful in the past I've had so much change in the past year and so much going for me currently I'm going to use the New Year as a spring board to help better myself personally.

My two resolutions are:
1. Lose 30 lbs by June 1st.
2. Get myself in the studio and learn the production equipment.

While I haven't been successful in the past it's because I hadn't fully commited myself. But I've taken a more realistic approach, laid out a plan to achieve my goal and have asked for support which I'm fortunate to have in my family.

I'll keep you posted!!

p.s. I wanna go to Vegas and book a trip to either London or Ireland.

Many years ago I resolved that I'd stop making resolutions.

Tradition...well, changing the calendar.

(Ain't I just the exciting one?)

well it depends on how you look at it, lots of people go with some stuff they would really like to change like stop smoking or ease up with the booze etc etc, that's too much in my opinion..

others, (me being one) makes less serious ones if they bother sometimes :)

Make sure I make an effort keep in touch with friends that have either moved away or I don't see all that often and lose 20lbs :P.

Funny, those are on my list. I am trying to get everything ready for the eventual move so the kid doesn't loose contact with his friends. Thank golly for Skype.

My resolution is easily quantified. I resolve myself to be more productive in my freetime from now on. To expand on that my goal this year is to take my life to the next step. Im gonna dabble in as much stuff as i can to find some way to make enough cash to leave this job im at. I wanna live life a little more free then i do now and slow it all down and take trips and explore the earth and myself more. This year is the year i stop living like a kid and really step it up and live a life i chose, not that im given.

I think 2008 is gonna be potentially the best year of my adult life ( cant top sleding and snowball fights ).
