Is the new Sonic The Hedgehog THAT bad?

Most of you obviously know that I'm a big Sonic fan. Well, I was thinking about picking up the "new" Sonic The Hedgehog for the PS3. I heard that it was horrible and I was just wondering if anyone else had played it and what you thought. Details perhaps? Even I know to avoid bad games but I wanted to give this one one more chance.

Do you like load times of 5 min or more just to see one line of text from a NPC then load again for no reason at all...do you like load times lasting longer than the missions themselves...do you like lagging and clunky controls and the worst camera to date for a 3D sonic game..do you like to die a lot and I mean a lot from controls not responding..oh did I mention load times because I don't want to leave out load times.
Oh and them adding more usless characters no one cares about and was just made to show off a new feature that ended up being lame.

Load times.

Oh and I want to mention load times that you get to a point where you go play other games have lunch then maybe a nap and a movie come back watch the intro to some level or here a NPC say "hey" then goes right back to loading yet again.

Yes. It's horrendous. The controls are just awful as well, so many invisible walls, and its a 3D sonic game which should be indication enough.
