Bully was supposed to be released for Xbox and it never was. I wanted to play it but I never had a PS2.

the PS2 version was filled with unnecessarily long load times and when i say long i had enough time to finish watching an episode of psych on my computer during the time it took to load the first mission.

The Bully load times felt like GTA load times, though I haven't played in a while. I didn't think there was any problems with it. I thought it was still coming out for 360. Never beat the PS2 one, but I'd like to take a stab at it on the 360.

There's one game that got canceled that I really wanted to play, but it's not coming to mind... Argh! Might've been one that was in Japan but never got released here... or something...

Lord of the Rings: White Council sounded pretty cool. Sort of an open ended gameplay model like Oblivion but set in Middle-Earth. It hasn't officially been canceled yet but it's future looks pretty bleak.

Nope. Haven't really felt the need to spend the money for a 360 yet and I probably wouldn't get a Wii unless I really had money to burn - I just wouldn't play much on it.

I suppose I'll get a 360 eventually. I almost feel like skipping this generation of consoles though. Nothing is really exciting me. The only thing I'm looking forward to is Spore and that will be for the computer.

After other disappointments, I will no longer knowingly purchase a game by them.

The first thing that comes to mind is Super Mario RPG 2. This was a while ago so I might be wrong, but when it was announced I think it was as a direct sequel. Once Square was no longer involved, it became paper mario, which was solid, but nowhere near Mario RPG.

Shenmue 3 for me as well. Imagine if they developed it for the "next-gen" (or is it now-gen?) consoles. The world would be absolutely massive, the graphics would be incredible (considering what they did for the original on the dreamcast) and they could refine the combat system a bit.

Hmmmm, well maybe not a game that got "canned" per say but a Final Fantasy 7 remake rumor floats around every so often and then is immediately shot down because they confirm that they will not make a remake. However, I have herd, yes more rumors, that they are indeed planning the remake.

I'd love to see Shenmue 3. But I'd also love to have Shenmue 1&2 redone as well. I had the first Shenmue for the U.S. Dreamcast. Shenmue 2 didn't come out on the U.S. Dreamcast, so I couldn't transfer over my stuff to my European Dreamcast version of Shenmue 2. I don't know if it would've made much of a difference, but I still really wanted to transfer my stuff over.

It was just a demo for PS3...that's it and was done to get all the fanboys wet their pants to once again buy a PS console...if you look back to N64 they had a full 3D video of FFVI as a demo.
It's just fans want it so bad they won't let the rumour die about a remake that will not happen...Square is already spending most of their budget on the 6 part multi system FF13 series (main stories on PS3 of course) then the rest of their budget on mobile games and other square FF/DQ RPGs for Wii/DS and Last Remnant for 360/PS3...doing a full budget remake is just out of the question for Square.

well, luckily sam and max got a solid backer because the writing and game in general was genius. I was so depressed when I heard full throttle wouldn't get a sequel...*sigh*...what happened to Lucasarts.

What about that mech game for XBLA? Looked like really good graphics for an arcade game. I think it was called WarWorld.

I still have the OXBM with this game on the cover. It was a good preview too.

On the bright side though, with Activisions love of exploiting existing IP and Blizzards never ending cash flow, there might be a chance we see this after all.

Last i heard the creator was still ready to continue the series. I heard rumors of Ps3/360 release around the net. I'd love it. I never owned an xbox or 360, so i'd be glad for the ps3 support, as to play #2 i had to download a European copy*for the english subtitles* for Dreamcast.

Sadly no those rumours are untrue.

Sega currently has no plans for the series..they had a Shenmue Online MMO in the works for a while but it got canceled.
If you followed the news and company last few years you would know there is basically no hope for Shenmue III even Duke Nukem Forever has a better chance at this point.

Sega since being bought by Sammy and Sammy took full control the company has gone different directions and they way they are treating Yu Suzuki is like milton from office space and Shenmue is his red stapler.:(


And to play Shenmue II all you had to do was buy it for Xbox and is BC for 360 though the 360 emulation sucked...on reg Xbox it plays just fine and comes with the DVD movie plus the Xbox version had many extras the Pal version didn't.

That game was so much fun at BlizzCon 2005 in multiplayer mode. Having 6 Zerglings in a group going berserk was one heck of a doomsayer for the Terrans. It was a shame it was canned like that. Hopefully it makes a return in the future.

Aside from Ghost being one of the ones I liked that was canned was Imperator by EA Mythic. It was an MMO set in the future with the Roman Empire still running. Felt like a neat concept and had an interesting combat mechanic to it where you can damage different parts of the body to weaken your opponent to give you an advantage. Had high hopes until it was canned for Warhammer Online.
