What's the deal with the "Groups" area in all the member's public profiles? Is it possible to start or join a group? I've yet to see one.

It's not groups like on Facebook or MySpace, I believe it's just the separation of groups of users.

I am not a member of any public groups. I truly do wish that I were. I think that an uprising is probably necessary. Just to get to the bottom of this.

Honestly, I've yet to see ANY groups. I'm still not sure If I understand this whole thing.

I don't know what it is exactly, other than a vBulletin feature that is not used on any message board, anywhere.

I have yet to see any groups on any forum. I'm thinking it's something that can be implemented, but the admin chose not to.

You can set up custom user groups in vbulletin and use them as distribution list and what not, it's just not turned on here at the Rev3 boards.

It's good that it isn't, from what you said sounds useless.

they could make it so you can join different groups based on the Rev3 show that you like to watch..

diggnation group
geekdrome group
ctrl alt chicken group
etc

i guess?

Yeah good idea, and in addition to that they can have groups like Gamers, Windows, Linux, Gadget freaks, Mac addicts, etc.

It's pointless, talking in each Section or thread is like groups. There is no difference.

Well, I want to be in a group, that is for sure. Supreme Overlord would be good.

If I was going to be in a group is would be the quasi-dihedral group of order 16. I always loved the sound of the group. The Klein 4-group would also be pretty cool. With my luck, I'd be stuck in the free group with 2 generators. That's a pretty confusing place.
