360 problem

Ok, so I usually have my 360 hooked up to a sdtv in my room with no problems. I have a hdtv I watch movies and play on sometimes and usually have no problems when I hook it up with the component cables. But I tried hooking it up tonight and all I got was a black and white screen with the component hooked up. When all I have is composite hooked up on the same TV I get color. I tried this on two different TVs and still got the black and white screen. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if it is the 360 or the cables? I made sure all the cables were hooked up correctly and all the setting on my tv and 360 were correct, but I cant figure out what the problem is.

Dumb question but it has to be asked first: did you remember to flip the switch on the cables to HD?

Yes, I made sure everything was hooked up correctly. triple checked everything.

well your first problem is that your using an sdtv!

but seriously, check the settings on the xbox. they might have automatically changed to not be fit for that tv. although it should still work, thats all i can think of.
