View Full Version : Long shot: Anyone playing D&D (or similar) in Perth, Australia?

I haven't played D&D since first edition rules a long time ago... but recently I've have an itch to play again. Problem is, I now live in Australia (Irish born), so I don't have the network of friends I used to. On the off chance that anyone here lives in Perth and is interested, let me know.

PS: I'm 29, and not really into GMing, if that makes a difference...

can't help you, other than to say that wait till this summer when 4.0 comes out. surpose ot have alot of online options

Yeah I read about that. Don't think I'd like playing online much though...

from what i understand you don't play online. more like there will be a set of online tools that you use in the table top game. my thinking is the is going to be a good release. wizards of the coast didn't do a very good job with 3.0 but i understand them having to release something. now they have owned the property for a while and had time to really put together something good

Yeah the table top and miniture design tools look useful enough.
I've never played an RPG with the help of minitures before. Is it the norm now? I can see the benefits, but I think it might detract a little from the 'imagination' element.

it's always been the norm, i think. i've never played with minitures either.
