I've been a big fan of the Tony Hawk series since part one. But, i've gotten tired of it since THUG2. I didn't play an ounce of Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. Anyway, the demo pops up and i was surprised. It's like i fell in love all over again. I'm definitely buying this whenever it's released (in a couple weeks i believe). Just wondering who else is going to buy the game when it's released, and if you guys/dromettes would want to do some sort of Geekdrome game night? And this isn't limited to THP8. It could be anything, just as long we all have the game and the game supports possibly 8+ people online. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's a great idea to have a game-night for Drommies and what-not. I'd be up for it, not necessarily with Tony Hawk's 8 anytime soon, because I'm broke right now and don't need to spend an extra 60 bucks, espeically before GOW comes out.

My Gamertag on Live is UmarifficCKzzle. Feel free to add if whenever. I have Call of Duty 2, Ghost Recon: AW, Perfect Dark, and DOA4 right now, and I also play the shit outta some Uno. So if you have any of those and are up for some Drome game nights, just hit me up.

This is really good idea. YAY for the internets! we may have to wait for the dust to settle after November with all the games and systems coming out. if anybody is down for some F.E.A.R or some Rainbow Six:Vegas when they hit let me know.
also if you have F.E.A.R reserved at your local shop...it appearently comes out the 1st of November. According to the knob at my local gamestop. a creepy ass game that ships on hollow's eve....spooky!

Edit: Just looked it up and called again F.E.A.R is out the 1st hellz yeeah mofo!

I have a demo of Rainbow Six: Vegas on my 360. I'm not too into "tatical" shooters. But ima try it. I have Perfect Dark and DOA4 also. I also have Halo 2, but i don't know, i think we're all done with that right?

anybody who had it day one. And sometimes i look at and think "Maybe i should put this in" but then i laugh. all this new lingo on H2 plus the rampant cheating...i was done a long time ago, before the days of B-X-R.

Gears of War is like 2 weeks away. I think you can play Ultimate Alliance co-op on Live too.

I believe Ultimate Alliance is 4 player co-op. Wow, is Gears of War that close? That means PS3 and Wii is just right around the corner.

Gears, Call of Duty 3, R6 Vegas, F.E.A.R. all drop on Nov. 7th. I'm getting all but Fear (already have it for PC).

Dude I think that is an AWESOME idea. What game can have the most playerrs on live at once COD2? I would love to set aside a night where we can all hop online and play. Or maybe a west coast late afternoon...? can this be organized a little so I can mention on the show this friday?

I would, but every time I try to add you it says that you can't have anymore friends... :( I guess I'll just sit on the curb and watch the kids play like always...

we should post our xbox live sn and set up game nights. but seems like the majority is on the west coast i dont know how the timeing would be for someone on the east coast as myself. my sn is halfedbaked the games i have are Saints row, graw, madden07 (i got suckered into being this crap same shit every year im done with this game). im planing to get NFS:carbon, andmaybe Gears of war or COD 3.Im not sure which one to get.

the Project 8 track listing just does not come close to THUG2 or American Wasteland. it has a couple good tracks. of course, it has Wolfmother's "Woman," because nothing is complete without this overplayed song this year. it has tracks by Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, The Ramones, and Bad Religion... but not much else that most people would recognize. maybe it is a bunch of up-and-comers that Hawk thinks will make it big in '07, but i am unimpressed.

What night would most people have free? I imagine a weeknight since I'm usually out and about on Fri-Sat nights. And how about a time between like 7-8ish Pacific Time, so that us Eastern peeps can play at 10ish. If you're interested, just post what times would be good for you.

I was a huge fan of a the early Tony Hawk games but the past few years have been garbage... with that being said, the THP8 demo is ****ing awesome... I downloaded it other day and cant stop playing. The little bullet time thing where create your own tricks (both thumb sticks control each foot) is ****ing awesome. I'm down for a little tourney or something when this comes out... good idea.

On another note, If your a fan of the Tony Hawk series, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam was just released for the DS and it's ****ing amazing too. Keep in mind, its not your typical open world TH game, its racer like how SSX is, its done perfectly. Also, In game voice chat for online play (first DS game to have this feature.) Highly recommended!

I think Wednesdays would be the best alternative day to a Saturday/Sunday game night. If you're not bowling on a league, your Wednesday night is probably free.

Is it true that you can play online with a Silver Live membership on the weekends? I think I heard that somewhere here before, but if it is then I'd say Saturday is good time too since more people might be around.

Not for me, untill I get our second TV in December [Sharp 46" AQUOS 1080p, to be exact :) ]... My girlfriend has the TV wednesday nights for Laguna Beach lol.

For me, Sunday nights would be perfect.

oh, on the Silver membership deal, i heard that was just a promotional one time deal, but i could be wrong.

Sunday would be awesome for me as well. Wednesdays are iffy, because I have two meetings every Wednesday nights, the lengths of which vary. So...I'm definitely down on the Sunday side of this one.

Vegas is the 14th. Which means I can play Gears for a week before I shelve it.
