I don't know if anyone around here listens to the A View From the Quad podcast, but recently Cian had his 12 Days of Christmas contest. Every day he gave away a different prize, most of them related to different podcast novels. Autographed copies of Scott Sigler's Ancestor, Seth Harwood's new book, etc.....

Anyway, I won the 12th Day's prize! It's a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, autographed by 4 members of the movie cast! And on top of that, Cian is going to try to get the actors who play Harry, Ron and Hermione to sign it, as they will be on set to film the next movie in the series.

I have tried to tell some of my friends around here, but none of them are even remotely impressed. I may not be the biggest Potter fan around, but anything signed by cast members is amazing!! And to have a group sign the same item? Damn near put me in shock when he called to tell me that I had won.....

Thats awesome man good for you. Dont worry some people are just jerks who have unhappy lives and feel the need to belittle you or diminish your joy cause they cant pull a personal gain out of it. Selfish.

How often do any one of us win something at all, much less a cool little prize that that. BTW, i bet in a few years that thing will be worth some coin too.

Grats again.

Hahaha, thanks!

BTW, love the profile pic, Darth.

I love autographed stuff, I flip out. I got an autographed Iris CD from an xfire chat and I was so excited even though I'd never heard of them and didn't like the music when I finally listened to it. I also have an autographed picture of Jim Carrey, and a t-shirt that was autographed in person while I was wearing it by Hugo Girard, the most famous Canadian Strongman of all time.

If you can get past Rowlings handler's some day, the only thing that would make that an even better collection of autographs would be having hers on it as well.

Very true, but I don't see that happening anytime soon....

Wow, you got the chic that played luna lovegood. I really loved her in that movie, she played her just how i imagined it. Thats pretty rad in its self in my book. Well, i guess rad in YOUR book actually since you won it and all.
