This is just an idea I came up with after reading "Yssman's music of the year" post, why not have a Totally Rad Show from different country or region. Since American's don't get enough outside content, (unless you look for it) we done know what new and great things that are out there. Now I dont know if there are many TRS fans from the UK but I do know that there are a bit of Diggnation fans from there.

The only problem I see is that "The Totally Rad Show" is owned by Revision3, so that might have some legal issues. Unless there are already shows out there that I do not know of please post so I and others could see.

I know this is asking a lot so please don't hurt me =)

I think that there isn't really a need for a TRS in a different region or with people from that region since what the guys talk about is pretty universal. Look at Jekyll and Doctor Who, with the forums its pretty easy to spread any positive buzz about things from a different country.

Like many TV shows, the format of this show could be copied in any other country, hell I've considered doing a UK version myself and if I had two friends who shared my passions for Movies, TV and Video Games, I might have done it. However, that's one of the problems. You need three friends who all share those passions. On top of that you need content specifically from those countries and in the case of movies, the majority come from the USA. For video games, they're international.

I think instead, what I'd like to see is the guys do themed episodes based around a particular region or nation, much like the UK episode this year. Even if the guys can't get to the country or nation it'd still be interesting to watch.

I understand your premise, there is potential for that. I would love to see one from India, I love Bollywood films and it would be great to have someone reviewing those.

I've thought about this a lot too. Part of the appeal of the show for me initially was that I had two good mates who would discuss very similar things, but I think I agree with Wes. Most of the content of the show is universal, as much Western media consumption comes from the US. I would, however, love to see the guys do another international episode from another country. I'd love to see the guys do an episode from here in Australia. I'd also love to see an episode from Japan or France or something. I think this sort of format would work better. Obviously this requires a lot of money or very generous fans, but I'm confident in TRS and I can only see the popularity of the show growing over time.

I think an eastern/oriental episode would be great. Either from Hong Kong, China or Japan. There'd be enough material to tailor the show to that area, with plenty of good movies and all the anime and video games out there.

Man I've been thinking about it for some time, making like a Swedish version of TRS, just haven't managed to find someone who's been into it as much as me :/
we got some similar shows running on tv though and it might be pretty hard to compete with them being in a country with 9million people..
