I don't know how many of you are into RSS, but for those of you who are RSS junkies like myself, this is fantastic news. The other day, NewsGator released NetNewsWire (for OS X) and FeedDemon (for Windows) as freeware.

Personally, my only experiences with FeedDemon were from before it got sold to NewsGator, but back then it was pretty much the golden standard for RSS clients, so I would imagine it's still worth checking out. NetNewsWire seems pretty decent too, but I'm still debating on it vs. Mail.

Anyways, here are the links if you guys want to try them out:

Sure, free software is awesome news! :D

Personally I tend to prefer online solutions instead of software based ones. I use Google Reader.

Yeah being able to check your feeds from any computer would be nice. That's why I'm going to give NNW a try for a while. Both NNW and FD let you sync your feeds between the software client and NewsGator, and you can apparently sign into NewsGator.com to read your feeds online.
