It's free. It works. Just use a spam email in case...

I have used similar things before to get some of these mags. They give away the mag to increase their circulation numbers so they can charge more money to the advertisers. Many of the 'stories' in them are very simplistic and seem to be written to cater to the advertisers, and are usually old news by the time you read it.
But they do make good reading for the throne room, and they do sometimes have some good information and they are free. So go ahead and do it, just make sure to opt out of the e-mail stuff.

Heh... never thought of that... quite smart actually. Who doesn't like free mags? :)

Tradepub can take a while for the subscriptions to start. Last one I got took about 6 weeks to start.
I think you're more likely to get the subscription if you don't use a free email address like google or yahoo. At least I've had more success using an email address attached to my personal website.

It works but it took a while....Magazines are nothing special. Better to just buy them in the store for the 4 bucks.

Agreed, the cheap ones you are better off buying if you can find them. But some trade magazines cost more that a few bucks if you can find them in a store, so getting them free if you can is good.

You'd think that Mr. Green (K.Rose) wouldn't want to advertise this type of thing because all it does is generate waste. Someone needs to tell Tradepub that their business model is the downfall of America.

You need to open your eyes if you think free magazines are the downfall of America.

Sorry, but you're mistaking the point I'm trying to make. Their business model is to find a way to make money by doing absolutely nothing at all besides fudge numbers and sit in a basement. That is the downfall of American business.

You said downfall of America. Adding business to America changes your statement completely! ;)
