Heh, I used "Shaun of the Dead" to propose to my girlfriend. It was the movie we saw on our first date. I rented out the theater and we watched the hole movie. Afterwards, I had them play a special video I had put together.

You can see it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a8pyn5YhzI).

Badger, did you see Jake's latest movie? Zodiac.

I saw it a couple weeks ago in the middle of the afternoon. I was totally alone in the theatre. A very spooky movie to watch alone in large very empty theatre.

I've seen all of Jake's movies since October Sky. Oddly enough I think if I remember right the theatre was completely empty for that one too

And the last movie I saw was Shooter with Mark Wahlberg last week. Was pretty good.

Wanted to see Zodiac, but everyone (including me) had been waiting for 300. Don't get many opportunities to see movies, don't like to go alone, so have to wait for friends (with kids, etc) to go to movies...

But have always been interested in the Zodiac case anyway, Jake is just a bone us. er, bonus.

And Marky Mark is an amazingly under-rated actor. soft spoken and subtle. Not too hard on the eyes, either.

In fact, he should have been in Brokeback instead of that mumbling, always on the verge of tears nimrod who ruined that movie. Forgot his name. Bad actor, but also, cute...

I love going to the movies alone during the day. Totally different experience. And I get to see stuff that I might not have someone to go with, like Zodiac.

I might see Ninja Turtles this week. I grew up watching that and playing the arcade game. Also the effects on the commercials look really cool. Not sure any of my friends would go see that with me. :)

Shooter was a really good movie. Just enough action and not too over the top.

Heath Ledger.

Anyway, Zodiac was good in that the story was pretty faithful. However, it dragged in parts. There was a lot that could have been cut to speed it up. I was bothered that Robert's car never looked older, even though the movie spanned many years. No dings, paint scrapes, etc..

A. It wasn't what I expected... with a name like Snakes on a Plane I figured it wouldn't take itself as seriously as it did

B. I'd give it a solid 6/10. I can understand the hype and why it got the attention that it did but it's not terrific and I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it but it's one of those things you should see once...
